The only cocoa powder I use
I find the Valrhona cocoa power to be the best cocoa powder I've ever used. The flavour is exactly what I am looking for when I make my hot-cocoa as well as in my baking. This is a Dutch-process cocoa powder and it has quite a pronounced and intense velvety dark chocolate flavour with a distinct character but without that bitterness that other intense cocoa brands have. Although hot-cocoa is my Achilles heel, I also use it for baking and truffles. To me, this is the best cocoa powder I have used and I always keep two boxes at home, where the second is a back-up in case so I will never run out.

Intense flavour, no hint of bitterness - 3rd purchase!
Very similar to Van Houten's cocoa, this fine "burnt sienna colour" cocoa powder makes the most delightful mug of rich creamy chocolate that will satisfy the most discerning chocolate lover, only without a trace of bitterness. All that is needed is a generous pouring of double cream and a large chocolate flake to dip in. Heaven! Being plain cocoa it will need sweetening (should you wish), and milk or cream added if you prefer a milk chocolate drink. But I love it plain, but with double cream floated on top. I promise, you will be disappointed! It's chocolate heaven.

Worth the money
This is of course not a cheap product, but this is the case of "you get what you payed for". I was amazed at how great it tasted, rich and full of flavor. It makes a wonderful hot cocoa

Good quality
Absolutely amazing texture and taste. Perfect for hot chocolate or may cakes/ biscuits .. Downside is that is not organic but we are regular customer and it is already fourth pot bought ..

Superb.
I am a big fan of Valrhona chocolate (quality not quantity), and their cocoa powder is of the same quality. The colour, taste and smell all attest to this. I make goat's milk chocolate ice cream with their chocolate and of course cocoa powder (it only needs a small amount every time, lots of chocolate though), my wife is addicted to it; domestic bliss is helped along! The occasional drink made with this cocoa powder before bedtime is a real luxury, the standard supermarket stuff just doesn't begin to compare.

Can certainly taste the difference
I'm no foodie- but am partial to a good chocolate cake. I gave in after hearing various cooks or recipes praise this brand as the best of the best. I thought Green and Blacks was good.... I knew I found the best coco when my very- hard-to-please other half tasted this and instantly recognised something was different- he described the flavour as smooth and rich (I was impressed as he is the type of guy who orders a children's happy meal for lunch every now and then). I cannot afford to use this all the time but for special event baking this is the only coco I will use.

No added sugar. Pure cacao. Perfect for Keto or if you want some great chocolate to pimp up your recipes big time. Highly recommended.

أول مرة وصلت العلبة ممزقة ومكبوب المسحوق كامل ولا بدون غطاء وتواصلت مع خدمات العملاء وبكل ذوق ومهنية ارسلولي بدلها اليوم التالي صح وصلت سليمة لكن ايضا بدون غطاء!! غريب وين الغطاء يعني اذا فتحتها لازم اغطيها بقصدير والا انقلها لعلبة أخرى!!

This chocolate is incredibly versatile, with a quality that's hard to beat and consistently delivers great results. While it's on the pricier side, I still consider it worth the investment for special occasions. I particularly enjoy using it for the basic chocolate ice cream recipe from The Perfect Scoop by David Leibovitz. The flavor is refreshingly nostalgic. It reminds me of my childhood visits to Hobson’s Ice Cream in Santa Barbara, California. In the book’s resource section, Leibovitz actually recommends Guittard chocolate, which can be tricky to find on Amazon. Valrhona is an excellent (though more expensive) alternative. A huge issue for me is that the price has risen significantly since my first purchase, and if I were reviewing it today, I’d probably edge closer to giving it a 4-star rating. It’s becoming a bit out of reach for those of us who enjoy cooking at home, thanks to rising prices from Valrhona and its suppliers. For now, I'll continue to enjoy the occasional indulgence.
