Very happy
I haven't calibrated it, but I've measured the little screwdriver that comes with it and I get *exactly* the same reading every time, accurate to 0.01mm. I measured a postit note too, and it was sensitive enough to read that (0.09mm / 0.003 inches), which according to 3M is exactly on the money. Again, same reading every single time.I can't verify that the readings are objectively accurate, but they are exactly the same every single time I measure the same spot on a solid material.Roller wheel is a bit wiggly, but not about to come loose at all. I think maybe they made it wiggly so that it wasn't in contact with the track all of the time and so doesn't get worn out. It also means that you son't have to manhandle it to get it to move, so I'm happy.Pointing this out so that people don't think that they've been sent a faulty one more than anything. The screw on the top isn't mentioned in the instructions, but it just locks the caliper in place at a desired point. So you can measure something, lock it in place, then compare it to something else without having to faff with getting it to read the same value manually (it's very sensitive).Feels well made.Very happy. It's nice not to pay the earth for something but to get a really nice quality thing.I paid for this myself, this is not a sponsored review, I'm just really happy with it. I honestly don't have anything negative to say.P.S: Come with a battery installed, and has a spare in the case. LR44 incase you need a replacement in the future. Neato.

No plastic here.
Nice solid build quality suggesting this should last until someone borrows it and fails to return it. It appears to be accurate but then again I've nothing to check calibration with. It's totally constructed in steel except for the display screen which is probably perspex but I'm not going to try and scratch it to verify, but it is easy to read and has a smooth easy action with a great thumb wheel. There are some sharp pointy bits (the jaws) which could do a bit of damage to the user if he or she is clumsy, cack-handed or drunk, so you have been warned. The battery cover has 2 screws so it shouldn't get lost but beware... those screws are tiny and could easily disappear to wherever all dropped screws go never to be seen again and additionally care should be taken when undoing them, even with the provided screwdriver, to not damage the posi-type heads. Comes with a plastic case and 2 batteries (1 aleady installed) and quite useful, well written, instructionsIt's Chinese for those who care. There's quite a choice around at present and I suspect they may be generic but I'm very happy with the one I chose at the price I paid.

Good value for money.
Looks to be a good tool. A nice, smooth movement, zero position repeats consistently and feels good when moving small amounts. I have no way of confirming the end to end calibration, but probably more than good enough for my purposes. I would like to find a piece of No-Rust VPI paper in the box rather than a plastic bag, which will contain moisture. I did like the spare button cells in the box - nice touch.

A review after a year and half later of use
It been well over a year since I bought these to assist me in 3D modelling. When modelling I need to accurately measure fixture and fittings of things I intend to affix my 3D printing model onto. I've used so much i'm now on my 3rd battery (note it comes with 1 spare which was nice) so I feel Ive used it enough to get give a fair review. The unit has a nice weight about it. The metal casing is just that, all of it is metal including the battery cover. The jaws come together parallel, straight and flush. There is no play in the jaws on the open/close orientation. There is a tiny bit of play with the top jaw forward and back. Not enough so that there is a gap between the edges and it doesn't affect the accuracy of measurement. You can separate the jaws using the adjustment wheel. The operation feels quite precise and you can dial in increments of 0.01 if you so desire. The wheels themselves have a lot of play but that has no affect to their use.Overall however the constructions feels good.Like many of this type of design you can measure outer , inner and depth of an item. There is also a nut to lock the callipers or to provide a bit more resistance to adjustments..The LCD display has a clear contrast and even at an angle. Only the transparent screen's reflection makes the screen hard to read at more extreme angles. There are 3 buttons which again are metal and provide a nice tactile "click".The first button is to switch between millimetres and inches. Reading 0.01 mm and the inches 0.001 but will actually display 0.0005 of an inch , which is roughly 0.01 mm. The scales do move that low level of increments but the stated accuracy is only 0.02 mm.The second button is to zero. I always find the callipers register 0.00 when closed so the Zero button I only use it if I want to do an offset between two points. As expected there is an on/off button and the unit will automatically switch itself off. Because these are vernier scales, if you've left the callipers open on a reading and it switches itself off, turning it back on will bring back the reading its at. The callipers will also automatically turn themselves on if you make any adjustment to the jaws, ie open them. It does mean that sometimes when you put them down or move them they it will turn itself on.The stated battery life is a battery every year with heavy use. I've exceed that. I don't know whether its a reflection of the quality of the batteries as I although I've used them regularly I wouldnt say I used the continuously. I don't really see this as an issue.Overall I'm super happy with this set especially considering the price. Yes there is a bit of play in some components but not a way that undermines its function and its ability to measure.

Its nice to have it handy.
Electronic calliper - design ok, easy to adjust, i believe it measures accurately. It feels nice and lightweight. Plastic box is ok for storage and protection.

Well designed, good display
A nice general purpose precision instrument for every workshop. I have been using it almost every day now for several weeks and could not find anything to reduce my 5 stars and I notice it is a bit cheaper now. It is well made and has a nice clear LCD display in metric or 'imperial' units. Now in my measurements and calculations I have to go to another decimal place. I'll live with that.
