Plaid:Craft Plastic FolkArt Painting Stencil 8.5-Inch x 10-Inch-Moroccan Tile

I bought this stencil to use for mosaic print on a bookcase. It turned out beautifully, the stencil is strong and flexible. You will need masking tape or a gentle adhesive hold it down on the surface you are painting, as with any stencil you need to do this. I also had to use my hand to ensure its won't move. I used Annie Saloan chalk paint for my project & it looks so amazing, anyone can do this on furniture, walls, doors & fabric! I washed the stencils after use. My tip would be to first try it out on a flat cardboard so you can get a feel how to work it, with very little paint almost like the brush is dry, to avoid paint to bleed through the pattern. If the paint does bleed in parts, you can go over it later with a fine artist brush. I'm really happy with my purchase & would recommend this stencil to anyone who hasn't stenciled before!

I've used it in bathroom its lovely.

Paint seeped underneath even though used tiny amount. The pattern is beautiful but since it has not got any edges it's difficult to repeat the pattern and to hold it in place. Didn't work for my project but might be suitable for something smaller where repetition of the pattern is not required. I used it on a tile so that might be part of the problem. Perhaps it works better with other materials.
