Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder

These are amazing! So good, that these ones I have just bought are a gift for a friend. Perfect for health conscious parents, who do not always want to give their babies biscuits to snack on. You can put any fruit in there and be perfectly satisfied that no lumps will come out to cause a choking hard. Also, cold carrots work wonders for teething in these things! Pros: - Nice design, pretty colours - No food escapes, so safe to leave with your baby (of course never leave them unattended with it, but you don't have to hawk-eye them with these!) - Easy to hold for both the parent and then when your baby grows, easy for them to grip the handle (which can also double as a teether) - Easy to clip open and shut, but firm enough so that baby cannot open it. - You can put a whole roast dinner in one for them to chew on (very small portions, but you get what I mean!) - Dishwasher safe. Cons - Washing these suckers is a royal pain! If you use banana, be sure to rinse the net pretty quickly after and get as much as you can off the net before you stick it in the dishwasher. I see that people have complained about washing these , but for me, the fact my baby can eat fruit/vegetables from a younger age, rather than rusks/biscuits outweighs any cleaning issues. I had two - always nice to have a spare, in case one is in the dishwasher. Go ahead - buy one (or two)!

Very good for my baby. I've added mango, cucumber, apple and pear pieces in this so far and he loves munching on the puree/juices that come through the mesh. It's not too difficult to clean. Not too difficult to clean, depending on what you put inside. I just pick the food bits off the mesh before washing it with dishsoap and so far it's all come off, although sometimes takes a bit of time to properly clean it.

Excellent for introducing different flavours to my six month old without worrying about choking before she was ready for lumps (berries for example). Washes well is the dishwasher, however if you put a banana in this, it takes a bit of effort to get all the strands out. I wouldn't bother putting a banana in, I would just wait until baby is old enough to eat it by themselves. It's a good size for little one to hold and the mesh allows pulp though to keep them happy. The clip is secure so no worries of it opening.

I bought this product for my 5 month old baby, and she has so far been using it for 3 months and loving every minute. Many people have given average reviews for this product stating that cleaning it is extremely hard to do. What I really don't understand is why these people insist on putting banana in it. Of course it will be hard to clean; banana's the wrong consistency as the whole point is the baby sucks out the juice... you need a juicy fruit. We use papaya, mango, raspberries, pear, orange, mashed up strawberries etc. Everything except banana. My daughter literally loves this, and from my perspective, she can eat an entire papaya in one sitting so i know she has a healthy diet without me worrying about turning my back on her in case she chokes. Highly recommend.

I liked this for when my daughter was at the stage in between eating finger foods and weaning onto solids, but realistically that stage lasted a month. I was a new parent and didn't really get how long my daughter would be eating purees and whatnot, and of course all babies are different. The problems with this are - it creates a lot of mess as the food gets mashed up (which was fine for me but I know my mum never let my daughter use it when she had her because she hated it) - its hard to clean. No matter what I do I havn't been able to get mashed banana out of the seams. I do think this is good for - babies who stay on purees for a while but want to feed themselves a bit OR - parents who want to move their baby onto baby led weaning (letting baby feed themselves with soft finger foods) but their baby doesnt quite have the grasp down to hold their food.

This feeder is awesome! It lets my baby try new foods safely and helps with teething too. The feeder is a perfect size for my baby to hold, Super easy to use and clean. My baby loves it!

Good quality, I prefer the fabric option to the plastic alternative. Perfect size for ice cubes, frozen fruit or small pieces of food for teething. Easy to use and locks tight stopping the toddler from opening.

Had to bin after one use. Absolutely impossible to clean! Scrubbed it for ages and it just wouldn’t come clean. All food stuck inside mesh. Also was hard to open and close. Awful product!
