Q: are the socks knee length?

No they are about 2/3 to the knee when on Regards Steve

Q: Are these good for Lapland weather over normal socks and thermal socks?

I reckon they would be just fine for Lapland. I got these for when we went to Iceland in November 2019 and they were great on there own with snow boots. So should be no problem with an ordinary pair of socks underneath for being in constant snow.

Q: Can they be used for riding boots?

Yes could be used for riding boots. Very pleased with my socks . Have used my today with wellington boots (gardening)

Q: Are these socks thick?

These socks are fairly thick, thicker than a normal sock but not as thick as a welly sock, I'm wearing mine every day in this chilly winter weather and they do keep my feet warm, shoes may feel a little tighter with these on, but I don't find this a problem. Hope this helps.
