Cracking bit of kit - It is simple to use and provides accurate measurements with no fuss. I have used it for lengths and floor areas and it is very effective. The various measurement datums are also useful but a point to watch is that the length that you are measuring must have an edge that you can focus the laser onto!Overall I am very pleased with it.

Chunky but compact small enough to pop in a shirt pocket. It comes in a nice pouch to keep it getting scratched up or dirty. It doesn't appear to be particularly ergonomically designed to fit in the hand, taking the form of a basic rectangular box, but the edges are rubberised making easy to grip. I can't say I have used any of the extra features such as area calculations as of yet so I have only scratched the surface of what it can do. Recently it got its first real use when I needed to work out whether a piece of furniture would fit in an alcove. Previously I would have struggled trying to keep the metal tape straight and level or ask someone to hold the other end. With the S9 it was just a case of pressing a button and the measurement was quickly displayed. It makes measuring a room easy and I am sure when I get time to play with the other features it will be a useful tool for working out how much floor or wall covering is needed. The built-in mini spirit levels are also a useful option.Unless you are a builder or estate agent it's not something that is used every day but when needed it makes the job a lot easier than using a physical tape measure.

This has been a really useful bit of kit and we have found it to have great accuracy. It's also quick to use and compact and has some really good measuring functions (distance, area, cumulative distance, Pythagoras etc etc). It seems very robust and the batteries last well.

This is the second laser measure I have had and if is by far the best. The range of units of measure is very good along with the functions it performs. I was also impressed that not only did they supply the battery but they also proved a small screwdriver to remove the cover. To round off it comes with a good quality case that can be belt warn.........great product

This product worked initially when tested on delievery.After that it didnt work again.

Works well and good value doesn't have the increment facility that the Bosch has but at a quarter of the price its all good.

Does the job.Yet for very short range (less than 20 cm) it might not be accurate to mm. I recommend it as it has a good price.

I am impressed with the accuracy of this device. It's also fairly rugged, although care is required with the folding extension in the base for measuring from corners. It's got some memory, and converts between units on the fly. Like all these things, the restricted laser power makes distant measurements outdoors difficult in daylight, but overall it's a useful addition to my toolbox.
