Poor battery life but otherwise a good buy
This is an all round good monitor. The parent unit has a nice big screen which is in colour and switches to black and white for night vision. It has a handy zoom feature too, which we often use to get a better view of our little one and to check whether his eyes are open or shut. It’s not HD but from what I understand the definition is pretty good for a baby monitor. For example, we can usually see him breathing. We hadn’t used the sensor pad until very recently as he had always been in the same room as us, but now that we’re transitioning him into his own room it brings real peace of mind. The parent unit shows a metronome to indicate movement, and the alarm which sounds when no movement is detected is loud enough to wake everyone instantly. The pad is sensitive enough to detect a baby’s breathing through a foam or sprung mattress, though this does mean it’s not possible to attach a mobile to the cot or have a fan running as any slight movement will fool the sensor. There are two downsides: 1) The nursery unit must be connected to mains power so it has to be positioned near a socket; and 2) The battery life on the parent unit is quite poor. We only get about 90 minutes of continuous use before it has to be charged. It can be used while on the charging cradle though. All in all, a good monitor with extra peace of mind afforded by the sensor pad.

Ok but not worth the money
I ordered this monitor because I wanted to be able to see my son (10 months) now he is in his own room. I already have the angelcare ac401 and still wanted the movement sensor so decided to upgrade to this one. Firstly the image shown on the camera especially in night vision is poor, I could see the outline of my son but that was it because it was so blurry and because the camera is part of the unit not separate it was really difficult to get a decent angle to be able to see even part of his cot and I couldn't put it up any higher because the lead for the sensor pad is only short. I know there is a tripod that can be used but for the price, poor camera quality and lack of length on both the leads I decided to send it back for a refund as couldn't justify paying the price for having such a poor quality picture. Now back to using my ac401 and will be looking at getting one I can connect to my phone instead

Do not buy!
This is the first bad review I have had to leave. I wouldn't even give it one star (but it wouldnt let me post my review without one) We brought this monitor for our second baby, she went into her own room at the end of January so we have only been using the monitor for 6 months and it is already broken!!The battery does not keep its charge, the signal is awful and crackling all the time, at night you have to have the volume down unless you want to sleep with constant white noise in your ear. The picture is bad, sometimes you can't even tell if the baby is sitting or laying down. For our 1st we had a BT one and it was great, there wasn't a video monitor but it had music and night light which were great and it lasted almost 3 years.I really wish I had bought another BT one instead of wasting my money on this.

Great product
Definitely one of the best purchases I made before having my baby. With so many different monitors to choose from I didn't know which to buy but after reading hundreds of reviews I settled for this one and so glad I did. The movement mat is by far the best bit. Just having that peace of mind that if the baby did stop breathing an alarm will go off allows 2 very tired new parents go to sleep without worrying. The video monitor although not the clearest is fine to see what baby is doing and switches from day to night mode automatically. My only criticism of this would be that the batteries don't last very long in the video monitor so has to be recharged often and beeps loudly when it is going flat so make sure it's not near the baby!

Picture quality beyond bad!!! Hardly worth having!
First bad review I’ve left, but I literally want to throw this monkey through the window! The picture quality is SO bad. I can never quite see what my baby is doing so then end up going into his room to check because I don’t trust the monitor. This always makes him wake up!We’ve had so many false alarms with it because my baby has moved slightly off the mat. It doesn’t ease your mind, it makes your anxiety go through the roof. Looking around for a better monitor today and I’m now wondering if I have a really old model. Seems like something made 10 years ago, it’s so bad! And the worst thing is it wasn’t cheap!!! It’s one of the more expensive models. Avoid!!!

Just brilliant for peace of mind
Just brilliant for peace of mind: audio, day and night TV screen and apnoea monitor are all great - we have used this since baby moved into her own room at 5 months. Cant be used on a side crib (eg snuzpod or chicco), but in a normal infant cot it works well (you have to buy a piece of plywood to insert under the mattress, it shouldnt be placed directly on slats). defo reccommend

The best all in one monitor
I read thousands of reviews to try and find the best all in one monitor, with the Angle Care AC1100 we found it.We've had no problems with the picture or the sensor, we've used it now for six months and we are so happy with it.The only downside is, you can suffer drop out of the signal if you are too many rooms away, we find the unit can't handle more than four brick/block walls, of course this would be different with stud/floorboards as there not as dense.

Let down by terrible battery life
The picture is ok for what it’s required for, the sound is good but the battery life of the monitor unit is appalling. Most nights it will only last around 3 to 3.5 hours which means you have to always have the mains unit with you ready to plug in so it loses any element of mobility. Also the beeping noise it makes when it has run out of battery is annoying. The other thing that lets it down is that you’ll have to purchase a tripod/stand to attach the camera part to if you want it to be in any sort of useful position which adds another £10/20. A redeeming factor is the sensor pad that is very good but would advise to have it on the highest sensitivity to avoid repeated false alarms. I would have liked to give it three stars but the battery life really does let it down that much.
