Love this!
Being disabled, and not having much money or the ability to stand and cook, I find this a great table top hob to have. The induction pans are a little on the heavy side but this has been a game changer for me. Its cut down on the cooking time and energy used (saves me a fair amount of money). I have 2 of these on my kitchen counter, along with 2 different air ovens and haven't had a proper cooker/oven for around 5+ yrs now. My energy consumption with all of the above mentioned is very low, which is ideal for someone like me on a budget. Easy to use, this has different settings on it from boil to basic steady heat settings so there's plenty ways to cook different foods. I just wish they could make the induction pans a little lighter to handle but that's no reflection on this hob. Easy to clean. Only downside for me is that it is a glass hob, so if you drop something on it, it could crack it (happened to me once so this was a replacement for that one). But if looked after, these do last a long time. Will definitely purchase again as and when I need another one/replacement for the ones I have as I've had other brands but have found this one to be the best and most reliable.

Seems to be a good buy
I purchased the slimline version of this hob and so far so good. I have only used the Slow tab and I find it does everything I need, from frying eggs to boiling water. I do feel it runs hot in as much everything seems to cook very quickly and I think if I used the Fry tab it would burn the food. Not tried it because who can afford to burn food nowadays? It's very easy to clean because its all one level and it's all ceramic. I find it to be very quiet, and have to listen hard before I switch it off at the plug. Is it worth the hefty price tag, we will see how long it lasts but Tefal has a good reputation in our house. Overall, I would say its a good bit of kit.

Very good for the price, but possibly not a permanent solution.
We bought this because we're in the planning stages of a new kitchen after already ripping out the old one, and we're trying to decide whether to get a gas or induction range when we rebuild. After using this for a month, we're still undecided, because we now don't know if the things we don't like about it are consistent with all induction hobs, or if a higher-priced one would give us more flexibility/control in its heating. For the price, this is a great introduction to induction jobs. It heats as quickly as the claims, which is amazing. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviews that the lowest manual heat setting is not low enough. It seems this model works in a very binary fashion... the magnets are either "on" or "off", and temperature/levels are determined by intermittently turning the magnets on and off. For the lower settings, the frequency of the on/off switching is slower. But that means when it's on, it's ON, providing instantaneous full heat for a second, followed by unpowered resting. This results in the contents of your pot boiling hard for a second, then stopping, in intervals. If you're trying to slowly simmer a stew, for example, it doesn't quite work as you'd want. On the other hand, the hob does work very well for high-temperature cooking, and it brings things to the boil as quickly as all the sensational claims. And as far as this particular brand/model is concerned, I think it's well-made at a good price. There are definitely pros and cons to this product. In our in-between-kitchen-demolition-and-renovation state, it is a welcome addition to our make-shift kitchen. But if this example is anything to go by, I'm not sure I want to be limited to induction cooking for the rest of my life. UPDATE: I'm back, five months later, with an amendment to my review. I now know why there is a maximum pan size for this hob: If your pan is too big, it will come into contact with the plastic edging at the top and bottom of the cook surface, and when your pan is very hot, the plastic edging will melt into a gooey mess. As it cools, it will loosely resemble volcanic rock in appearance and texture (that is, it's very hard and rough). I know because I did this. And then I was worried about scratching my other cookware if I continued to use the hob. So I bought some high-heat rated silicone adhesive and smeared it over the damaged bits of the hob. It's not the prettiest fix (see photo), but it's a fix. My cooker works and my pans are safe. But I'm tempted to rate the hob down another star because I don't know why they didn't consider the possibility of the melting that plastic edging. I won't take another star, though, because they do say not to use pans the size I used. Technically, it was my fault, but...

Brilliant Every Day Hob
Brilliant Every Day Induction Hob which I had to use as my gas hob packed up just before Christmas. Heats very quickly, very easy to use and clean and looks absolutely fantastic. I've used it to boil, fry, poach etc and it works very well. Easy to pack away into a cupboard when not in use. Be very careful not to allow the pan to touch any other part of the hob other than the circle it's meant to sit on, i.e. when one lifts the pan to spoon melted butter over steak, as this will damage the hob as the side of the pan is hot and will burn the hob. This happened to me and being an Amazon Prime customer served me very well, as I was sent a replacement hob in less than 18 hours. Also it's best to heat up slowly as the hob is so powerful that it may damage cheaper induction pans. I love my induction hob. I think it's the best on the market and would definitely recommend it. I also believe it uses less electricity and so is better for the environment and cheaper on bills. Don't hesitate to buy this, it will serve you well.

Broke Twice in Under 2 Years – Repair Costs More Than a New One!
I purchased the Tefal Everyday Induction Hob (IH201840) in April 2023 and within less than a year it completely stopped working. I had to send it off for repair in February 2024 under warranty. Now, less than a year later, the exact same fault has happened again. When I contacted the repair centre, they told me it would cost £90 to repair – which is absurd considering a brand new unit costs only £66. This product is unreliable, poorly built, and clearly not designed to last. I’ve lost confidence in both the quality of the hob and the support system behind it. I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable induction hob. Save yourself the frustration and look for a different brand – this one is not worth the money or the hassle.

Very good high heat 2100W induction cooker. Water boil and milk boil has automatic off feature when it come to the boiling point. I recommend this to everyone who lives induction cooker or anyone looking for an induction cooker for the first time. This is my 3rd purchase of the same model for my family 👍👍👍

Inutilisable en France. Escroquerie manifeste car le consommateur n’est pas au courant et doit ensuite se coltiner le renvoi du produit.

I really like the Tefal brand but can only score this hob 3* given the type of mechanical buttons used on the hob (see video). Over time I think the 90’s style waterproof protective covering will crack as this has happened with other similar type buttons in the past. I will keep the hob though as I like the way I can easily control the timer and temperature settings.
