I miss my childhood...
Bought this one as a birthday present for a 4-year old girl. She was extremely happy, but as a 30-year boy - had to try it out myself. You know that first 40 years of childhood are the toughest for men, right? English is not my native language, but I can speak with English accent and American (if needed) easily. This dog had issues understanding some of my commands - mostly short ones. Don't know why. The instruction says that you have to teach it, so I assume it gets used to your voice and accent over some period of time. But it understood most of commands straight from the box, so that was a really positive experience in general. For some reason when it didn't understand me - it started peeing in most cases. Maybe my dog has bladder disorder or something. Its sensors work well - it saw obstacles almost flawlessly. And I really liked the eyes - those are really cool and make it feel "alive". And last but not least - it has integrated battery, so you don't have to spend a fortune on those AAA batteries. Charging it through a USB cable takes an hour or so - that would be enough for it to be alive for half an hour. There is only 1 thing I still regret - that my daughter is only 1.5 year old, so I can't get the same dog for her. So, guess I'll get back to my PS4 for now. But even so - highly recommend this toy.

great toy
Bought this for my 4 year old for christmas. Arrived very quickly. We didnt charge it because we didnt want the box opened unless it was by my daughter. The box is quite tricky to open we ended up ripping the box. My daughter was so excited she got zoomer and it does come with a small charge and in no time was rolling around our living room. Lasted about half an hour then it went off. Charged for an hour and was back rolling around. It does follow commands well by 4 year old spends a lot of time shouting at poor Zoomer. Rolls very easily from one room to another even over bumpy carpet dividers. We are buying her the zuppie to go with it for her birthday in January. This is a very nice toy and the way it pretends to wee or "plays dead" keeps everyone entertained.

A little bit disappointing
Slightly disappointed with this purchase. This is by no means a cheap toy, so I was expecting it to work a little better. If there is any background noise whatsoever, like a television or excited sibling, the dog is not able to recognise any voice commands. And quite a few of the tricks he does are basically the same trick. The battery lasted for about 30 minutes with continuous use.Zoomer couldn't understand any commands issued by my 2 year old other than 'sit', even in a silent room. This is not entirely the dog's fault, but I would avoid buying this toy if your kids can't speak clearly yet. And because his repertoire of tricks is quite limited, he's not going to entertain older kids for long. It's a real shame because I love the idea of a robot pet. But my kids were unimpressed with this one.

Cute toy and a good challenge.
I bought Zoomer 2.0 for my 8yr old daughter. His barking, panting and movements are excellent and very endearing. There is a good range of commands to teach him and he does learn them after 4 or 5 tries which delighted the children. They also thought it was hilarious when he gets them wrong and plays dead instead of chasing his tail! It seems that if you don't play with Zoomer regularly, not sure how often is required, he forgets his commands and you have to retrain him, which I think adds to the challenge and keeps the interest going. My daughter however finds it frustrating that he has a short-term memory! I think it illustrates an important lesson to her though...that you have to put the effort in to get results! My only frustration is that you only get 20-30mins playtime before Zoomer needs recharging.

Fun and easy to clean up after!
A Christmas Day delight for my niece and much more popular with my family than a real dog. As far as I know, three months on the dog is not entirely trained but has learned not to cock its leg on most humans

Product came damaged
Product came on time but one of the front legs was already not working properly and the dog could not perform the tricks. Very concerning that it is so fragile and had a very disappointed little girl when I had to return it. Still gave it 2 stars rather than 1 star as it is still very cute and the kids seem to like it even if it came broken.

Very disappointed daughter upset as was main present she been asking ...
Broken within 24 hours. Very disappointed daughter upset as was main present she been asking for a long time. Started to malfunction and leg broke and wouldn't move. Be wary when buying them are fun and are good but of you get a faulty one like I did you will have unhappy kids :( hope next one works for my daughter as she was so over moon with it. But now devastated

Brilliant toy
One very happy little girl on Christmas morning. Zoomer lived up to expectations. The more you play with him the more he reacts to you, just like training a real dog.

Zoomer
