Big Bucket
I originally bought this to use with a mouse trap, but it's no good for those due to the rounded edges, so don't recommend it for that. It has, however, come in very handy in the garden as I try to rid myself of the thousand and one bramble suckers that are trying to take over. I usually use a large garden bag for weeds and cuttings, but the thorns catch on those, so emptying the bucket into the brown bin is much easier.

Great size using one as a laundry bucket
The size is good to collect laundry off the line as of yet I have no complaints.

Sturdy
Sturdy bucket, the measurements are difficult to read (for me) and it has no lid, which I should have checked before buying.

Taller than most mice can jump.
Taller than usual bucket with the advantage of being white rather than black. It was purchased for use as part of a mouse trap. The typical bucket is about 25 cm deep and in my experience plenty of adult mice can jump higher than that without too much difficulty. By contrast this white bucket is 40 cm deep on the inside and very few mice can jump 40 cm upwards so once they're in the bucket they stay in the bucket. However there is a small problem: On the inside of the bucket there are some graduation markings that protrude from the inside surface by less than a millimeter; just enough for a mouse ladder! Small mice can run up the markings (albeit with difficulty) and might just about be able to jump from the top of the "ladder". If you want to use the bucket as a mouse trap these need to be smoothed away, or covered with smooth tape, or you need to cover the top of the bucket in the region of these graduation markings. The advantage of white rather than black, apart from aesthetics, is it is easier to see when a mouse is in the bucket. Also I suspect the mice realise they are easy to see because they tend to quickly hide in the container I provide for them, rather than spending lots of time trying and failing to jump out.Note, although I've never encountered a *mouse* that can jump out of this bucket, small rats probably could jump straight out unless you'd put a bit of water in the bottom to create drag on their feet. Large rats can definitely jump out of this bucket.

Packaging was a little ott
It’s a plain white bucket. You put stuff in it. So far, so good. Except the Amazon box that it came in was big enough to fit my car in it, and all that empty space inside was stuffed full of brown paper. Enough brown paper in fact to wallpaper every room in my house. Come on, in a time of financial and climate upheaval do we really need to use a 12 foot box for a little plastic bucket?
