An older guy's favourite and my standard soap. No sweet smelling scents, simply a background of regular coal-tar to leave one cleansed and "purified". A gentle and good foaming product.

I like this soap very much. It has a fresh and clean smell, also it doesn't dry your hands out. I have been using this soap for years. But I now have found it hard to come by in my local shops. So, i will be purchasing it from Amazon from now on.

I usually keep a bar of this by the bath because we have dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. We really do find that this soap is the best out there for calming skin conditions without drying the skin.I put a bar of this at the sink for hand washing last week. Everyone's hands were starting to suffer from constant hand washing, even using the gentlest liquid soap. Both mine and my daughters were red raw and cracking. This soap is amazing for hand washing, it's reversed the effects of the liquid soap and they're no longer anywhere near as dry. No moisturiser needed (I am not a fan of using hand moisturiser when I'm busy) - I'm not entirely sure that the sticky layer of a moisturiser is a good idea with current hand washing requirements in any case.We also realised just how much better the lather is; it's dense and rich, and it really cleanses the hands thoroughly. You just don't get the same thick cleansing lather from liquid soap. And of course, it smells amazing.I knew it was amongst my favourite bar soaps for a good reason!

Initially I bought this to take up my order total to above £20 so the P&P was free.It's a pretty good soap with a nice scent. I mainly use it for wet shaving and washing my face. Noticed my skin is softer with much less flakiness.The price on here is almost double in comparison to a shop that sells it locally. Marked value for money down by 2.

Just such a good product. Smell is quite strong but I don’t mind it, and it cleared up the dry patches and acne that I used to have on my body. I’ve also recently started using it on my face. I use it and then wash again with a nicer smelling soap and I still get the benefits of coal tar soap

I bought this for my dad for Christmas. (It started off as a bit of a joke) He loves it, washes really well, the bar lasts long and a great price too! Reminds him of using it as a kid too!

Bought this soap to see if it would help me with my scalp condition. I was researching online and it says antibacterial soap can help. So far it feels good. The smell is strong and smells medicated. I like it and it feels nice and clean to me. My kids don’t like the smell. It does a really good lather, so all in all a good wash. Your hair can feel a bit dry from it, so I put loads of conditioner on after and it seems to work. It to early to see if it works for my scalp condition, but will keep using it and see.

I bought the soap after reading the reviews the scent repels mosquitoes. I'm unsure if it works on mosquitoes but it definitely works on humans - my family avoided me for a bit. It also stank the bathroom to high heaven - it took us a while to figure out where the stink is coming from and male members were accused of missing the target in the loo until we realised it is the soap smelling horribly. No one wants to use it.

Bought because I heard it is the closest thing to traditional soap. My professor recommended it. They don't use actual coal tar anymore (dangerous and can't be regulated so this is the closest thing). Works great for sensitive skin. Be warned though, it smells like a dentist office punched you in the nose.

I like carbolic soap and pine tar soap, so I decided to give this soap a try. I like it well enough. It doesn't actually contain coal tar, since the European Union now prohibits using coal tar in non-prescription cosmetic products. However, the manufacturer in Turkey does use fragrances that make the soap smell and work as close as possible to the original product.
