Easy to Read
A large, wooden-framed classic-style wall clock. Slip in a double A battery and watch the magic as the quiet clock sets itself to the correct time in your zone. Only two switches - select your time zone and implement the daylight saving feature on or off. The battery should last two years. Easy to hang - it features an ingenious slot that allows for placement on the nail a smooth experience. This superb clock earns two enthusiastic thumbs-up!

Classic Styling, Easy to Set Up, Accurate, Barely Audible "Tic"
Beautiful, classic face and hands but oak wood finish would have been more appropriate than plain walnut stain. (I may try to re-stain it.) I also wish LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY were not written so boldly on the face; that detracts from its classic appearance. Setting up was easy: just insert a new alkaline battery, choose the time zone and DST status, place the clock on the wall and in a couple of hours it was reading exactly the same (including even the second hand position) as another atomic clock that used to hang there. However, the minute hand reaches its mark 10 seconds before the second hand reaches the 12 position, then jumps ahead too soon. It's no big deal, just a little annoying.Unlike many others, I actually prefer the intermittent advancement of the second and minute hands with its slight "tic" sound and find the continuous and silent movement of most other clocks actually boring.Addendum: I did disassemble the clock, took the wood frame to the garage, sanded the dark stain away (for the most part) and re-stained it with a combination of Golden Oak and Colonial Oak. Now the frame has some interesting character and better matches the oak window frame and calendar-surround nearby. By the way, it was good to see that the lens/glass really is glass, not plastic as so many are nowadays.

Highly recommended
Very nice kitchen clock. Auto adjusts to Colorado atomic time. Has a daylight saving switch on the back. Smooth secondhand.

Beautiful
This is a beautiful and classic looking clock that blends with a lot of different kinds of decor. I wanted something that looked nice, but didn’t stand out too much. That’s perfect. Set up was easy.

Keeps time well; looks good.
So much nicer than the clock that always lost time; that it replaced! Looks just as pictured; sophisticated enough that it isn't too simple for the wall in a formal sitting area; not obnoxious in any way. Runs silently. It has kept time without any atomic connection (even near a window it could not find it) for the last 3 weeks, perfectly; bodes well for it's future. Only one star docked as it hasn't been able to connect.

Great Clock
Great clock! Large dial: easy to see across the room. Worked right out of the box and updated to daylight time automatically.

Exactly what I needed!
This is my second atomic clock and I will never go back. I trust the LaCrosse brand so I focused there, and I was looking for something a little “prettier” than your standard basic clock for my bedroom. this was perfect. It was just the size I needed (14”) and had a bit of character to it, while fitting my modern farmhouse/modern organic style. My experience has been that it takes a few days to set (I’m in NY) but this time would have been faster had i realized there’s a button on the back that has to be set to your time zone. Once I did that it set right away. There were no instructions, so if you’re not familiar with atomic clocks, definitely look it up on the LaCrosse website. Highly recommend!

La Crosse Atomic Clocks are still the best
We now have three of the La Crosse atomic wall clocks around the house. The one in our family room, a Seiko, my wife said just didn't look right in there, so this with the wood made her happy. This one was a return unit that I purchased from Amazon Warehouse that someone had sent back for whatever reason, complete with a nice Eveready battery. Saved a few bucks, and it arrived in as new condition, having been repacked properly in its original box by the previous customer, so I'm happy. As a side note, this clock had apparently been purchased originally by someone on the west coast, so that's the time that it was set for upon arriving. I slid the time zone switch to central time, hit the "Wave" button, and the clock immediately took off and set itself to our time within about a minute, unlike the (more expensive) Seiko, which I had to park near a western facing window before it would set itself. If you are in need of an atomic clock, my recommendation is that you should simply find a La Crosse clock that you like the looks of and be done with it.
