Vaude Unisex Overshoe Bike Gaiter

These are are absolutely amazing!! They actually work. I have purchased about 5 other different cycling shoe covers in the last few years and these are hands down the best . They are without a doubt the most waterproof and the only pair which have kept my feet complete dry. I live in England (which is wet) and up until covid , commuted to work every day in all weather. I also love long cycles on the weekends and these covers have kept my feet dry in the heaviest of rain. In terms of looks - they are a little bulky and probably not the most stylish, but in my opinion function is more important than form and these are 100% functional. In terms of durability, they have held up well. They have started to wear out underneath we’re I have kept the covers on my shoes and walked in them between the bike stands and the showers at my work. All footwear eventually wears out so I’d say that the wear I have experienced is consistent with their use. In terms of keeping these clean, I have even machine washed these a few times at 30c ! I like these so much and they are cost effective enough that I have bought a second pair ready for when these eventually wear out.

I purchased a size 44-46 for a size 44 road cycling shoe, however, I found the overshoe to be loose, particular around the heel area. I believe the guide would be accurate for a running/training shoes, a MTB cycle shoe or possibly a size 45/46 road cycle shoe. This product (size 44-46) is definitely too large for a size 44 road cycle shoe (tried on two different makes). In terms of function, I have not tested the product but it looks to be decent quality and waterproof/resistant. I have ordered a smaller size. I brought this matter up with Amazon who have resolved this matter for me promptly and with excellent customer service.

I used these for the first time yesterday, wearing them over my trainers to ride home in the pouring rain. Hurray! Dry feet. Quite easy to put on as they open completely so you can slide your foot in right to the toe. They are 'snug' on the calf but do up well with big bits of velcro. If I was a contortionist, they would be easier to do up. Unlike other waterproofs that cover your feet, I didn't find them slippery. You can open them out to let them dry, and then fold them flat in the bottom of your bag until you need them. I have a size 4 shoe and the size I ordered (39) is good. Very pleased with these.

They do not look like the best fit, but they really work well. You would think with a large void in the sole, you would get really wet feet, but this is not the case, I ride fixed, so cannot stop pedaling when going through large deepish puddles. I have been using this type of Overshoe/Gaiters for about 12 years (this is my third pair), I bought a pair of top brand (approx £65) proper over shoes, about 5years ago, using on the same route to work, and back, on the same bike, at the end of the trip my feet would be soaking wet. The only down side with these, they do fray around the lower edge with use, and look untidy, but they do get well used when needed, and not used as a fashion statement.

So pleased to find these - trying to put normal cycling gaiters around training shoes almost gave me a hernia! Easy to put on, waterproof, helps keep you visible - job done ✔️

My first impression on unwrapping this product was that it was a bit flimsy. However on putting it to use I soon found that not to be an issue. I have had issues with another overshoe being very difficult to put on and take off, but no such problems with this one. The hook and loop tape (popularly known as "Velcro"®) snaps open and closed quickly and easily. Be mindful that to be effectively waterproof this product must be used with a suitable shoe, i.e. one with impervious sole and sides - no leaks. The overshoe prevents ingress of water from above. Not effective if used with canvas shoes, sandals or similar. Most cycling shoes should be fine. For best effect, use with over-trousers overlapping the tops. Less effective with shorts, though probably still better than nothing. Its light construction means that it folds up very compactly - easy to pack away to take on a cycling holiday. The downside is that the material under the toe is rather thin - hence the recommendation not to walk and real distance in them. It is a pity that they are not reinforced in this area. I have found them to be very effective during cycling on a wet day - they keep my feet bone dry. If however you do energetic cycling over a substantial distance, dampness from perspiration from within may be unavoidable. Altogether I am well pleased with this product.

I use these for cycling when the weather is grim and it's wet on the road, to keep my feet dry. They usually work about 90% of the time. The 10% is mostly because the velcro isn't fantastic to attach around the back of your foot and so it unseals slightly at the top or bottom and allows water to trickle in. Lovely cold drips down the back of your ankle. On the plus side, they are cheap, bright and fold right down so I can crush them into the bottom of my bag for the majority of days of the year when I don't need them.

purchased these to go over my timberland pro series work boots on my cycle commute to work to keep my feet dry, I ordered the largest size xxl as they were going over steel toe work boots, if anything they're a bit to large though they fit ok they over hang the toe a little, but I only wanted them to keep the lace/tongue area of my boot dry as that's where the water gets in, they work absolutely fine, i've done a few wet horrible commutes to date and arrived in work with dry feet, absolutely amazing product.

I got these to keep in my backpack while cycling in case of rain and am very satisfied with the purchase. These have a strap on the bottom that keeps them from working loose while pedaling and velcro straps in the back and over the top of the shoe for adjustment. I wear size 11 mens shoes and had no problem slipping these over my shoes. They have plenty of room to accomodate larger shoe sizes. The reflective material is nice and the material is fairly thick and tough as well. No worries about a "paper thin" rain protection product that will tear easily as far as this item goes. These are made to last. If you're looking for something to carry with you to keep your feet dry in case of a downpour while riding, then grab a pair of these. DISCLAIMER: I wear tennis shoes while riding and do not wear cycling shoes, so I can't speak to how well these work with a pair of cycling shoes. I'm not sure if the strap on the bottom would interfere with cleats or not.

Leicht ,klein knüllbar u.wasserdicht ,nur lange laufen geht nicht da sonst der Riemen zerfetzt, es ist nur fürs Radfahren.

Ces guêtres sont très compactes ( faciles à ranger dans une petite poche du sac à dos) , légères, faciles à enfiler (élastique sur le devant, scratch à l'arrière ) et permettent une bonne protection. Je n'ai pas essayé dans des conditions extrêmes mais j'ai déjà pris deux belles averses avec et la protection est quasi parfaite : sans être parfaitement au sec, la chaussure est très bien protégée. Très bon rapport qualité/prix, bonne qualité de construction (élastique solide, scratch arrière sérieux). Parfait pour un usage urbain , mention spéciale pour la compacité qui permet de les prendre tout les temps sur soi ....

Questi copri scarpe sono indispensabili quando piove, offrono un totale protezione dall'acqua. Sono fatti con ottimi materiali e sono di ottima fattura. L'unico problema è che non sono traspiranti, quindi in inverno proteggono anche un po dal freddo, mentre in estate o primavera i piedi tendono a sudare un po, meglio sudati che zuppi d'acqua. Per quanto riguarda la vestibilità calzano bene e sono facilmente regolabili, non sono molto aereo dinamici. Indispensabili.
