A great looking blade
If you buy this, I would hope you were just enjoy the artwork and if you’re proficient Swordman, it’s great to have a practice or use it for anything else but I still say the artwork looks great. The balance of the blade is perfect.

Not a toy, real metal
While a lot of the features of this sword are decorative in appearnce, this katana is a functional weapon, not a toy. It is sharp and heavy, not a play toy. I cleaned this sword using the powder from my katana cleaning kit, but substituted coffee filter paper for rice paper and WD-40 for the traditional oil. There was a significant amount of black that showed up on the coffee filter paper and it was a little difficult to clean inside the mouth of the tiger. The blade did clean up nicely and there was no indication of rust. The top edge of the sword has a sawtooth on the blunt side of the sword for part of its length, so using a finger to guide the sword back into its scabbard as a guide must be done with care. We have this displayed on a bookshelf, so it is ready for home defense if needed.
