I picked this kit up because it is CL14 B-die and I was building a Ryzen 2700x using an x470 motherboard. Ryzen likes the faster mem clocks (DDR4 3200 is the sweet spot in my opinion price to performance) and Ryzen also likes lower latency so this kit was perfect. Samsung B-die also seems to work a bit better for over clocking on Ryzen. Even though the B-die is better over clocking it is also more sensitive to heat so good cooling is something to consider. This G.Skill kit has decent heatsinks and looks good too.

Plugged right into my crosshair hero vi ( non wifi ), enabled the XMP ( or whatever ) in bios, saved and started up windows off my M.2 and BAM .. done done and done .. CL 14 timings shown in Ryzen Master ... SPECTACULAR .. bought 2 kits back to back ( had to wait a paycheck for the 2nd kit .. lol ) and they are running like a C H A M P .. the color scheme is PERFECT for my build .. if you are running a Ryzen build .. JUST DO IT !!!!

Using Ryzen 9 5950x with Asus Dark Hero. Just select DOCP and you're good to go with the published spec.

Specs are specs, don't let the Intel description or lack of AMD/Ryzen dissuade you. If you have the newer AMD Ryzen CPU and want to take advantage of the faster memory speeds (3200) - then this set will work with no special tweaking. Just go into the UEFI/BIOS and set the memory to use XMP and that's it. You'll have much better results with CAS14 than with CAS16 if you want go with the 3200. Otherwise, no sense in spending any extra money on this memory or others as the default speed of 2400/2667 will work just fine (and you can save about $75-100).Why not 5 stars: Memory started causing system crashes after 6 months and while RMA process is easy - there is no advanced replacement. So you have to ship them the RAM, wait for them to process it, and return you a working set.Also, you can't really mix/match RAM sets if you want to use the XMP profile - so during this time your system is down unless you want to waste money on RAM that you won't be able to use when the replacement RAM arrives.
