well worth the extra cost. Saved $ in the long run
I've worked in construction for 8 years now I've owned several pairs of snips from several different manufacturer's and I have to say without a doubt these are hands down the best pair I've ever bought. Well worth paying a little extra for. Typically I end up buying a new set every other year I've had these for a year now and they may as well be brand new. Still make perfect cuts every time. That being said you should know I use these snips on a daily basis be it steel framing studs drip edge coil stock ect. They make the cut perfectly. Love them will be buying a second set when the time comes that's for sure.

Replaced Wiss for me.
I replaced all my Wiss snips for Maalco snips. I put them to the test on the roof every day and they haven't let me down.

I also agree... better than Wiss
I have both this and the 18g multidirectional Wiss. These are stronger and more precise and a cleaner cut than the Wiss. Much prefer these, will be returning the Wiss, which I had picked up out of convenience at a local hardware store to replace my well loved first pair of Malco av3's (thinking they'd be similar or better - wrong!).This will be my 3rd pair of Malco AV3s (I use it very frequently and sometimes on things I shouldn't, which eventually wears them down). I still use my blunt pairs around the house for many things. Very useful for all my needs.

Better than Wiss
Snips are snips so I can't be too picky. However, I picked up a pair of these already owning a perfectly good pair of Wiss snips as I was tackling a large drop-ceiling job and expected to have help that wouldn't have tools. These were by far the more popular as the tip is just a bit longer and not as thick as the Wiss snips. This allowed for a lot more single, clean cuts rather than just gnawing through once the first cut doesn't quite reach the full distance of the cut.

would purchase a second pair
great product great price, I am a woman with small hands and found these easy to use unlike my husbands shears which cost more and are more difficult to use

Good Quality Product
Not much to say. It is just tin snips. But, they feel heavy-duty and did a great job when I installed my drop ceiling.
