Simple, yet fun
I'm a Special Ed teacher, ages 11-14, boys mostly. K'nex breaks one of my basic rules of classroom toys - too many small parts. The plastic tub is cool, but I sort the parts into plastic bags too. It's all color coded pieces, comes with 4 kid friendly booklets with photos and step by step instructions making it really simple for my visual learners to assemble the parts. You can build your own creations too. The CD has lesson plans. These are the middle size K'nex, not the micro and not the bigger soft ones. Recommended for age 10+ but I'm 60, kinda ADHD too, and these are cool.

Great for my classroom
I purchased these to teach kinetic and potential energy. I also used it for STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) night where my students built rubber band powered cars and raced them. My booth was full of students at all times. The boys loved it the most. They can spend hours building with this set.

I had just learned about this product in a workshop for the unit we had just started. Paid for two day shipping to ensure it arrived in time for a lab I had planned. It arrived the very next day!! Can't wait to use this with my students!
