Beautiful and smooth paper : )

Smooth, white, thick paper. Good for finished drawings. Amazing with ink as it absorbs evenly without any bleed.

Im an artist, and i needed a paper that was smooth, but not so smooth where my prismacolor premier pencils wouldnt be able to grasp the paper. I believe that this paper is perfect for this. This paper is thick, similar to watercolor paper, so if you were to burnish your pencils into this then, from my experience, there would be no evidence of it on the backside. This paper has a smooth yet slightly textured feel to it, so it really allows room for layering. I believe this money was well spent, and this paper has allowed me to open comissions with few to no worries. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Really nice for use with alcohol markers! I wish it were a brighter white (it’s almost ivory), but the quality is awesome.

The paper is nice, but the title is (at this time) misleading. I did submit a note to Amazon about it, but the title says it is Bristol Plate, but it is actually Bristol Smooth. The quality is nice, but it was not what I thought I was purchasing. Again, the paper is great (for graphite work, which is what I do) but I wanted to point out to others that the paper is a smooth surface, not plate.

This is a great Strathmore book to draw in, and I would definitely buy another one.Pro's this paper was very smooth, and a real joy to shade in. I've only use my Pitt graphite Faber Castell pencils.Con's I received mine slightly damaged with a small cut in the center of the book. The cut also cut first page as well, and I didn't see it until I was shading my drawing. It's not a big deal the other pages are fine, so still rate this at 5 stars.

Great product for the price will buy again

I probably use the Strathmore 400 series paper more than any other paper both in the smooth and Velum surface. Can’t say enough positive things about it. The 400 series is great for finished work.
