This cordless angle grinder has been a game-changer for my metalwork projects in an old building. The portability of this tool is exceptional, allowing me to move around effortlessly. The included Makita B-46165-25 5" x .032" blade is a true standout, effortlessly slicing through heavy metals like angle iron and galvanized pipe. Its performance was so impressive that I'm planning to invest in the 25-pack of blades.However, like many cordless tools, the power consumption is noticeable when dealing with tougher materials, leading to rapid battery drainage. While this was manageable for me with multiple Makita batteries on hand, it did require frequent battery swaps during extended cutting sessions. If portability is not a priority for your projects and you anticipate long periods of use, a corded grinder might be a better fit. Overall, I highly recommend this angle grinder for its power and convenience in portable metal cutting tasks.

I’ve used it for various projects around the house, from cutting metal to grinding down rust, and it hasn’t disappointed. The brushless motor provides plenty of power, and the 18V LXT battery system ensures it lasts a long time between charges. The 4-1/2" / 5" adjustable guard is really convenient for different types of jobs, and the grip feels comfortable during extended use.
