Hyskore Over and Out Tactical Stereo Hearing Protection NNR 24

I bought these hearing protectors to use in my workshop. The hearing protection is very good but there is a constant hiss/crackling when listening to audio files. This may be white noise but it is distracting. While I don't use these headphones for shooting, I have tested them at the range and they work very well in all modes. As a former tactical shooter, the rear facing red LEDs are an excellent safety feature for dark shooting house.Some might have an issue with the weight of the headphones but I have not found it to be an issue.I would give them 5 stars if the hiss / crackling were gone.

This hearing protection works really good! However, I found that as I was trying to establish a good cheek weld on my rifles, it pushed the ear cup off my ear...the ear cups are kinda large. Great for handguns...not so much for rifle shooting. I ended up buying a lower profile set for rifle shooting.

These fit well and stay on well. They rotate good around a hardhat. There is an annoying humming though but you get used to it after awhile.

like the lights and the active noise suppression.Would like to have intrinsically safe registration however.would also like to have hard hat connection clips.Not great noise reduction without active suppression.Noise reduction not available with line in activated

Fidelity is surprisingly good - not perfect. I can easily here the faint crickets, frogs and birds in the distance. Ambient noise (wind, leaves rustling, box fan) "seems" too loud BUT this is common and expected with electronic amplification. Earplugs should also be worn when shooting - unlike hunting, dozens of shots may impact low freq hearing where attenuation is not very good. Amplification is NOT high enough to hear low level sounds when also wearing earplugs, however. PROBLEMS - The first two hearing functions are disabled as soon as you plug in a phone jack. All three selector functions now do the same thing - amplify the phone jack input. There is no point in the MP3 mode then. You must plug in your walky talky, phone, mp3 etc into the headset to listen/communicate and must unplug the jack to restore the hearing function. The mode switch is useless for this.
