Small, simple solution to help me eliminate yet another proprietary charger from my radio bag
This is a review of a USB-C 12V trigger with a right-angle 4.0x1.7 plug.I'm using this with a Yaesu VX-6 radio. According to the USB power meter I have between my USB-C power supply and this plug, it's successfully triggering the 12V output of the PSU (I'm getting 12.1V, but that's really more about the supply that this trigger). The plug fits nicely into the radio's power input jack, and I like the right angle design which I feel puts a little less stress on the jack.It did allow me to transmit at the radio's full 5W power, but I only tried it long enough to send my call sign and a quick message that I was testing. I didn't do any long-term tests or ask for an audio report. But I again suspect this is more about the PSU than this trigger, so I'm only putting this here to indicate that this trigger is able to pass through the power needed for TX.Overall, it was a good purchase, and if I ever lose this one I'll buy another for sure.

12V isn't a standard USB PD mode
This adapter is able to request 12V from a USB PD power supply, but that is not one of the standard voltages. 9V is the highest compatible standard PD voltage, and while it will charge the radio somewhat, it will not indicate that it is charging in any way (LED color or on the DC VLT display). It will also not ever think it is fully charged. It's possible that It can't quite fully charge because the maximum battery voltage (around 8.4V) is within 1 diode drop of the 9V supply. If you have (or can find) a USB PD charger that supports 12V (the most common nonstandard voltage), that would be great.

Perfect for powering Yaesu FT-5DR
Does not charge the battery but provides unlimited power as long as it’s plugged in.

12.1v as Advertised
These arrived and are working as advertised, will want to follow up over time but so far so good! Some other reviews have reported showing 9v, keep in mind the end is only part of the system, the USB-C PD power supply has to be capable of supplying 12v, and in my research not that many of them do. They will supply 5v, 9v, then skip to 15v, and 20v. If you plug this adapter into one if those it will drop to the lower 9v.

Works exactly as advertised so far
FYI to some people complaining it doesn't output 12V... while 12V is part of the PD standard, lots of chargers only support the more common 5/9/15/20V outputs. The trigger board in this adapter can't request 12V from a PD charger that doesn't support 12V output. For example the Anker 735 65W does NOT support 12V output while the Anker GaN Prime 67W charger DOES have a 12V output.
