Pflueger President Spinning Reel and Fishing Rod Combo

Very nice rod and reel combo. Would recommend it for sure.

Reel is smooth, light and seems well made. Has held up to occasional saltwater splashes. Unfortunately rod snapped...10 days past Amazon's return window. I would recommend the reel...but unless the combo is on extraordinary sale, recommend skipping the rod.Update: Changed from 1 star to 5 stars. I emailed Pflueger with pictures and my Amazon receipt. Pflueger warrantied the rod and is sending me a replacement. I only had to pay for the shipping. Lisa at the Pflueger warranty department was extremely efficient and the claim process was extremely low hassle. Pflueger will continue to be my brand of choice for fishing gear for it value, quality, performance, and now great customer service.

Ordered this item twice and both times the rod was delivered broken. The way they package the rod leaves the tip sticking out of the end of the box. The second time it was deliver broken I decided to just keep the reel and take the loss. I was able to use the reel a handful of times in about three weeks time and the drag ended up breaking in the reel. I’m super disappointed in the quality of the combo. I was really hoping to get a lot more out of a rod and reel combo from a brand like Pflueger.

Highly recommend this rod and reel. I have used it for perch and walleye fishing and it is a great setup.

We loves using these poles for brim and crappie fishing, but they are durable enough to bass fish and have even caught a catfish on one. Great value for your money, perfect size, and smooth performance.

It's a nice inexpensive combo to use for small fish and crappie in areas were a long rod would be difficult to cast.

I love this bad boy. Great sensitivity, performance and action. Easy to use perfect size and the smoothness when reeling is amazing. I’m pretty sure this combo will make anyone new to fishing a pro when they hit the lake. The fish have no chance. Great value for the money. I’ll definitely be purchasing a few more to have on hand.

I received one and the tip was broken, got a quick replacement and the tip was broken. They ship this item in a box that's too big, and don't secure it in any way, and so I think the tip is always going to be broken unless you get lucky. I gave up and asked for a refund.If the rod is so fragile it breaks when it's just being shipped, how is it going to handle being used for fishing?The rod and reel combo felt nice in my hand. I wish I could have ever gotten line on one of them to try casting. You can't cast with no tip.

The eyes were all bent over. Handle was loose in the bag. Hope the eyes last. I would return it if it wasn't such a pain. Update. Seller could care less that it arrived damaged. I would order elsewhere if I was you

Rod and reel combo looked great! Packaging was complete, no holes in the bag it came in. On closer inspection it was missing the handle on the reel. Reached out to the seller through Amazon to try and get the small piece as recommended, but with no response after a few days I had to return it instead. The return was straightforward and simple. As it was not free returns it only cost forty five dol. to return as its an oversized parcel. Solid one piece rod, not cheap two piece. Amazon was great though and offered me up 4 dol of the shipping fees though. Wonderful experience! Can’t wait to start fishing!
