The Cup Hero - Easily Recycle K-Cups - Stop Throwing Away Coffee Pods. Start Recycling Them.

This product just doesn't work. Period. Yes, it is easy to use, sturdy and easy to clean but it doesn't work. I practiced and practiced, and it still did not work. It will only separate the thin cover from the plastic pod. It will never separate the paper filter from the pod. I tried and tried but it just doesn't work. For this to work the teeth would have to be sharp and they are not. I wish I had never bought this terrible product. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

Almost did not purchase this product because of some of the reviews, however I decided to give it a try; so glad I did! My wife wanted us to recycle our k-pods, but it was such a pain to clean them out we gave up. Then I bought the cup hero and recycling k-pods became easy. A couple of important tips, first read the tiny little page of instructions, it makes all the difference, it was better than the one video I watched. Second don’t spin the cup hero in circles, rotate it back and forth, firmly holding the k-pod and applying the pressure as you do. Sometimes the filter doesn’t come out the first time, so just repeat and it will.Only takes around 30 seconds.

I got this hoping for it to speed up the process of separating the compostable materials (coffee grounds, filter paper) from the plastic/foil.In reality, the tool does not effectively cut the filter paper, and the coffee grounds get stuck in the grooves meant to cut the filter paper.I’ve pretty much swapped back to using a knife.

You really need to press it into the kcup and twist several time to cut through the top. If you didn't have a nice cut, it was hard and messy to remove the liner with the coffee grinds in it.

It opens the pods fairly easily which allows me to dump out the coffee grounds into my garden. Very difficult to scrape it hard enough inside the pod to get the liner released, so I stopped bothering with that. I just use it to cut through the foil neatly, dump the grounds and then toss the pod with liner in the recycle bin. My trash service has been dumping my trash and recycling into the same truck anyway so any extra effort to get the liner out is not worth it.I looked at everything out there to process my used kcups and this was the best.

I found this very difficult to use. The "teeth" are not sharp enough to cut through the filter, leaving you with a mess to pull apart. Very frustrating.

Great tool for taking a k-cup apart for recycling. I love how I can quickly remove the aluminum lid and then the filter. Note that I do have to squeeze the k-cup quite hard while I twist the tool back and forth 20 times. This guarantees that I can remove the filter. Much quick than doing it all manually with a knife.

It was a waste of money. It doesn’t work at all. I’m not gonna bother returning it because I don’t have time.

This product does not do what it purports to do. It does not have any sort of blade to remove the top from the k-cup once it is in place. Product was returned.

Product is plastic not aluminum. It might actually work if this was engineered aluminum with blades to remove the filter as well. Don't waste your money on overpriced plastic that probably cost pennies to make. I might even so do far to say this is a bit of a scam. The product should be pulled from Amazon.

Did not work like the video at all.

Save your money it’s product no good you’re better off using a knife !!over priced by $40
