This is one of the few additives that most aquaponics professionals agree needs to be regularly added to most aquaponics systems for the treatment and prevention of yellow leaf (Chlorosis). DTPA is the best form of chelated iron because it is 100% effective from a pH of 6.0 - 7.5. Directions: Iron levels in an aquaponics system should be at 2 - 3 ppm. You can measure this using an iron checker. If you don't have a Checker and are just responding to yellowing leaves then we recommend adding approximately 1 - 2 level tablespoons per 100 gallons of water every week or two. Storage: Store in plastic or stainless steel container in a cool, well-ventilated, dry place at temperatures above 40°F. Prolonged storage at elevated temperatures should be avoided. Avoid contact with aluminum, copper, copper alloys, nickel and zinc. Do not store near food or feeds. Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid inhalation of spray mists. Wash thoroughly with water after handling.
