I wear these as regular shades when gardening. Gnats can't get to my eyes. In winter I wear them to keep wind out of my eyes. Very, very lightweight. Pleasant to wear when driving. If they get sweaty, wash under the kitchen faucet. Very good protection for your eyes and excellent sunglasses for regular use. I keep a spare pair in the car. I have never broken one, but I have scratched them up doing tree work when they protected my eyes from scrapes and falling branches. Price was excellent. I own several. They do not fall from your head if you are sweaty. One piece molded plastic viewing, no rims, no adjustments. The wide sides protect from bugs, debris and wind. They do not fold flat, but that's the point of the side protection. The side joint is sturdy. I have not broken any of them. No metal.

I bought the DeWALT Protector Smoke Lens Safety Glasses Sunglasses after finding some scuffed safety glasses (not DeWALTs) on the beach a couple weeks. I realized then that the fit of safety glasses was the gap-free fit I wanted (no sun coming in around the edges) for my sunglasses. I was surprised to find these on Amazon at a great price from FindingKing with no shipping charges. When I got to check out, I saw that "standard shipping" was selected, and almost deleted the item. But I went back on opened the box that explained the offer, and then followed through with "standard shipping." Yep, they shipped for free, and before anything else in my amazon order did, as well as arriving first. I LOVE, absolutely love, the glasses. 99.9% UV protection was mentioned, and that was also key to my decision. There is one factor I will mention in case you need to look elsewhere, something I didn't consider at the time.I'm camping in an area where much of the bright light I'm dealing with is reflected off a large lake, and I might have been smarter to have considered polarized lenses. If you are hoping to filter out light which is reflected, you might protect your eyes even better with polarized lenses, but I didn't think of that when I ordered. If you don't need that, I highly recommend these glasses. And this company is the best!

True to their name, DeWalt's safety glasses set the standard for quality and value. I paid less than $3.00 for mine, and they are more comfortable than safety glasses costing 5 times as much.The glasses fit comfortably and do not obscure my vision or distort objects in my peripheral vision. They are extremely durable and resistant to scratching. I've been wearing them constantly for about two months while working out in my yard and they are holding up nicely.A great price and a great product. I am buying several more just to keep handy.UPDATE: After more than two years, I am still using the same pair of safety glasses. These things are like a tank. They are starting to get a bit scratched up, but I have a few more pair I bought a long time ago as spares--at this rate, I'll be passing the spares on to my kids. Over two years later I still highly recommend these glasses.

Got it to protect eyes doing yard work with an edger or trimmer. It's functional and fashionable. The sides can be a little wider to offer more protection.

These are fantastic safety glasses. I frequently ride my bike in them, drive in them, and wear them on construction sites.Pros:- Little to no eye strain, even for extended periods of time.- Fairly scratch resistant and they are easy to wash.- Great price.- They stay on even when you're moving around a lot AND are still comfortable.- They look good (I suspect... I'll double check with my wife to be sure)Possible Con:- They obviously are not going to seal tightly to your face and therefore cannot protect you against everything. Protection from chemicals, the act of grinding metal, airborne dust, etc will take something more robust. Personally, I'd wear something more tight-fitting if I were going to be operating a weed-eater despite some of the other reviews here.

These are PERFECT for scooter riding!!!! First I bought the clear...loved them...great price. Went back for the tinted & they were even better than expected. Every time I put them on, I can't get over how great I can see out of them. My boyfriend says they look good on me but honestly, I could care less. These are the most comfortable shades I've ever worn. They're so light you forget you're wearing them. LOVE LOVE LOVE.Very highly recommended :)

Bought to do the yard-work at my own place - used it 4 weeks in a row and pretty happy with the glasses. I live in Phoenix, so the sun is pretty brutal here - these shades help a lot from bright sun and some dust. Easy to clean from dust and sweat - I just rinse them with warm water. I also bought a pair of clear glasses (same exact model) to work in the garage, but haven't had a chance to use them yet. I'll probably buy a few more pairs of the dark ones to have as backup, as well as for outdoors activities like range shooting, hunting, fishing and camping.

These glasses are awesome, although their not as heavy duty as I had estimated they meet all of my expectations. I bought these for airsoft and BB target shooting because I didn't want to lose an eye because of ricochet, these were on sale aswell and only five bucks compared to the more expensive airsoft glasses which are rubbish or about the same quality. I don't know if I would go and play real airsoft with these without goggles or some other eye protection, and I personally wouldn't play with them just because they look cool enough to be sun glasses besides the "dewalt" text on the sides. I would totally recommend this to anyone who has doubts about pushing that buy button.
