Don't be in a hurry
The kit works. We'll see how it holds up over time. Reinstalling the spring that causes the slide locks to extend took some effort. I used the old spring that seemed a little stouter than the ones that came with the kit. A pair of vice grips and needle nose pliers came in handy, in addition to 11 mm wrenches for the existing nuts that hold the locks to the ladder frame.

Parts are no good to me for me as it is next to impossible to find replacement springs for my ladder
