This is what I expected. Nice and simple but perfect for protecting Hard Drives from dust and damage to the electronics. I have a number of hard drives after going from a Mac Pro tower to an iMac in 2017. I had to buy a thunderbolt enclosure to accommodate them all. I still use the enclosure but I also have a Sabrent single drive dock - very useful. I can now mount any drive I need very quickly and these boxes keep all the drives safe on one of my shelves. No more plastic bags or naked drives. Highly recommend - great price.

Retired mainframe systems programmer (old dog same trick) still make annual archival data backups. Cases provide best price/performance seen yet. Well made for long term storage, come with labels, internal foam padded case. While cases are well made, seem light for rough shipping, suggest store case in bubble wrap before shipping. I will be buying more in future - thumbs up!

Nice cases, but the latch was not as secure as I hoped. Labels were handy.

For years I'd been using cases where the drive slides in. The inside dimensions made it difficult to extract the hard drive when needed. Then those wimpy hinges broke off. Our new ones are durable, easy to open, and they handle well. With the flip of a latch, I can safely handle the HDD without my fingers touching sensitive electronic areas. Thank You!

I save NAS and regular drives and they fit perfectly. I would still not drop them but they stack nicely for storage. I am always swapping with bigger drives.

I dont know what kind of claim this enclosure has when it comes to "shockproof", but this case will not protect your hard drive from any fall from any height. No hard drive will survive a drop with this case no matter how high you drop it from. The only thing this case can protect the hard drive against is maybe static electricity and dust. There is just a some really soft foam inside the case that will do nothing for shock absorption. You might as well pack your hard drive in tissue paper and that will help as much as that piece of foam. Im happy with the case, b/c its better than the bare drive just sitting on my desk. Now its in a small box.
