Product Specifications: ANSWER ALL YOUR CALLS WITH THE WORD "GO" The next generation of communication Built-in microphone for hands-free calling You will not be charged until it ships We've had a screen-accurate prop replica ST:TNG badge in our closet for a while. The only thing it was missing was the ability to emit the classic communicator chirp sound effect when we pressed it. And then we found out an audio company is making a fully-functioning officially-licensed communicator badge. Behold the Star Trek TNG Bluetooth ComBadge. It hooks up to your phone or device via Bluetooth and has a built-in microphone for hands-free calling. Once connected, one touch answers/ends calls, plays/pauses audio, or accesses Siri, Google Now, or Cortana. And, of course, a touch plays that classic communicator sound effect. Warning: you're going to want to keep the micro-USB charging cable handy right after you receive this, because making it chirp is well-nigh irresistible. Great looks, horrible connectivity, 10 minute battery life.
This commbadge scores high marks for visual authenticity, and is capable of decent audio playback; but it's unfortunately plagued with serious battery issues (never fully charges, lasts ten minutes tops), unreliable Bluetooth connectivity, and almost unperceivably quiet Siri and phone call volume levels. Music playback volume was enjoyable. A proper firmware update seems like it could address these issues, yet none is available. I've also followed all the steps in their FAQ, but it only temporarily resolves the issue, and more often than not causes the device to disconnect or power down. The microphone quality also seems to garble voice input more than a standard iPhone mic.I purchased after watching YouTube reviews that called out many issues – the reviewer believed he had pre-production hardware – so I was willing to endure a few quirks to try it out. But if the device won't charge, it becomes an expensive CosPlay item; and there are much cheaper options available.Unfortunately, because of its poor functionality, its novelty would be sufficient to recommend at even 1/4th the cost. I hope FameTek can work out the bugs in a future product, because they have the start of something great. But they're going to need dig deeper on the engineering side.

Show your Federation Pride
This is a must have for any Trek fan. It is the exact size, and it will blow away those that don't have one. It's fun, and at the same time, it is very useful, especially if you don't like a hands free in your ear. You need this combadge.

Trekkie's dream
Awesome, especially for a Trekkie's. My husband is thrilled. Only complaint was the battery has a short life. Husband wore it to work to show off but it was dead, had just been charged at home.

Awesome
This is great! I cannot yet speak to the battery life, in the 24 hours that I have had it, that has not been an issue for me though. The mic is as clear as if I were using the phone mic I am told, the speaker is a bit muted but but clear. I think that is what you would want in most cases. You can use it for any voice input such as Siri or "OK Google" So far, I think it is awesome!

Bought for my star trek rabid father for Xmas and it didn't want to sync. When it finally did, you can hear whoever's taking through the tiny speaker but if your on the phone at the other end you can't hear the person speaking into it.

Picks up voice through mini speakers incorporated in device well, don't have to shout to be heard.
Like that music can be played through it as well as phone calls. Makes authentic chirping sound on connecting. Good size, magnetized back plate which connects to badge through clothing to hold in place,so no obtrusive pins.

Great badge.
Very pleased with the badge but sadly the silver on the badge is wearing even thought it hasn’t been used much. But still impressed with the item.
