Excellent
This cane has excellent features. It's relatively light yet very sturdy and stable. The rubber on top and around part of the handle works very well and is a similar material to that found on the tops of crutches - firm yet much softer than wood or metal would be under one's hand. This cane is dependable and more comfortable than my other canes so now it gets used the most and my hand is grateful. Highly recommended.

Great cane and not too pricy.
I have had several of these canes. I have lost several over the years by leaving it leaning against my car, or at the store in a shopping cart. My bad! The product is durable; it should easily last several years if you #1 don't lose it like me and #2 keep a fresh rubber tip on it. I push down pretty hard on my cane and the handle has a soft rubber grip that doesn't flex too much and it helps make my hand and wrist more comfortable. I have severe stenosis of my lumbar spine and I am bent forward when I walk. My cane helps me to straighten up. Sometimes, if I know I'll be walking a lot, I use 2 canes and it helps me even more. I like the way my canes swing as I walk. I have tried some canes that have a larger, 3 pads footprint, but they take a lot more effort from my wrist to try to get them to swing as I go. The Carex cane I use reminds me of the ski poles I used to use that were designed to swing quickly because of the balance and light weight. These canes give me the support I need and their light weight and strength are a huge plus for me.

Best Cane Ever Used
Only use a cane that is straight which wasn't carried at my local medical store and so glad because they charge twice the price of this. Have to have a strap, but with this grip the strap may not be used. Stout. Easy to adjust. Very secure. The only cane from here on out. Thank you for an affordable cane made of quality.

Lightweight and easy to handle
This cane is just what I was looking for. It's nice and light weight, plus the handle is easy to hold. My previous cane had the big off set hook, and was extremely clumsy and heavy. Very happy with my purchase. I ordered the marbled blue and it is also very pretty, which is a plus. I feel much more secure using this cane.

I have recently had problems with walking so needed a cane, I had an old one from years ago that I never really liked with the offset handle, but I only needed that one for temporary usage, and I still drove back then. Locally I tried some canes in the drugstore with different handles and really prefer the Derby Style handhold the most, but that one in the drug store is very skinny, more like a trekking pole size, and I was told sturdier was better, so I went searching on Amazon. This although not a derby style handle I felt would come close, and the reviews were relatively good on here so I ordered it. UPDATE JULY 4 2024 hOW ON EARTH CAN THIS PRODUCT BE SOLD? i WAS TRYING TO ADJUST THE HEIGHT BY PRESSING THE BUTTON WHICH WAS VERY STIFF, AND THEN IT DISAPPEARED? .. IT SLID IN AND DOWN SO YOU CAN NOT EVEN GET TO IT? It is sturdy, similar to my old cane in the ability to hold weight if you need to use it for more weight-bearing. Although I do notice a slight different in height choices in comparison to that older cane. Just off by a half inch or so. So there is that, more difficult to find the right height on this one for me. The handle is much more bulky than I care for in my hand, but otherwise comfortable. If I could find one that was more derby style that I liked, then I would definitely had ordered one of those rather than this one. Today was the first day since I received it that I used it outside. I had to stop and adjust the height a few times, again, had a bit of trouble, but it should suffice. I no longer drive so much of me getting around is walking, and today this definitely provided that extra little help with balance (feet go numb on me in about 1.5 blocks), so when they went numb I was able to walk without over compensating for the loss of feeling in my feet and did not start limping like I normally do. My R hip which also gives me problems was a bit sore when I got home, but nowhere near what it is usually like. Albeit, not perfect, but I feel it will help for those short trips I make, and perhaps now I will be able to walk further. I do not use the cane for any real weight bearing, it is more just for a sense of stability and balance when my feet go numb, if my feet did nt go numb, I would have no need for a cane. So far So good. Oh as to color choice, I like that is it black with blue accents, I totally am not a floral type of person, or a bright pink, purple or blue. I do feel this color choice will work with any clothing and not stand out nearly as much as something with flowers or bright colors would. UPDATE JULY 8, 2024. So, I am still getting use to using a cane, have some adjustment issues, it feels too tall, but going down a level then feels too short, so I was attempting to adjust it again. Since I got this cane the adjustment pin was very hard to operate, but on July 4th as I was attempting to adjust the cane, I pushed the button/pin in, slid to the next hole and the pin was not there? I took 3 images, you could see it for some reason and I have no clue how it could have done so, it slid down inside the inner tubing, unable to get to, I did try once but that only ended up making the pin slide further in. I contacted Amazon Customer Service, who arranged to replace my cane. The new one should arrive today. I personally do not understand, I immediately had knocked the rating down to 1 star, but because of Amazon so kindly offering to replace the cane which should arrive today, I increased it back up to 3 stars. The cane itself seemed to work great, my biggest problem was the pin to adjust, with any luck the replacement will not be an issue to do any adjustments on it. The only other issue for me is the handle is a bit bulky in my hand and I do not have small hands, it just is not that comfortable for me, but it is useable. I really hope the new replacement cane will be easier to adjust, and I will not encounter losing the spring/pin inside like what happened today. I again do not understand how that can happen, unless it was somehow not aligned correctly since the beginning, as I did struggle with trying to adjust the cane previously when I first got it and any time I tried to adjust it was simply difficult. Not wanting to press in, being stiff and then last Thursday disappearing inside the inner /lower tube? UPDATE JULY 9TH - new cane arrived yesterday. It was much easier to adjust the length, the button was not as stiff, but one concern is that it also does not seem to pop into place as easily and ironically, the size of the cane seems different. I am using it atm at the lowest / shortest setting where as the original cane that the button disappeared, I was trying to decide between the 2nd and 3rd shortest length. The very top one was too short before. Very confusing. Appears that quality control may be an issue.
