I used this locally on grass at our neighborhood pool and while at the beach while on vacation. It holds cans or bottles equally well in each of those applications.

Great for the beach
There is nothing worse then having a Sandy cup bottom or your cup spills in the grass. These are great to keep your drinks upright. We take them everywhere

Liked the idea
I bought these for a trip to the ocean and ended up, not taking them along. I found them too bulky to pack in a suitcase, and difficult to separate from one another. It’s a great idea, but not some thing I would buy again.
