This shower cap is cute. I like the pattern. The materials used to make it seem to be high quality and it is also well-constructed. I think, however, that there are some serious design flaws.PERFORMANCE: For the most part this cap keeps my hair dry — well, the hair that is contained. It comes up a bit high in the back, exposing the lowermost portion of my hair. Even with my hair all pulled up and secured under the cap, the hair at the nape of my neck ends up wet because it’s exposed.COMFORT: I’m going to be honest, this thing is tight af. Like, it causes serious discomfort. The elastic band puts a lot of pressure on my head and it is quite uncomfortable overall. The cap actually starts to give me headache if I wear it for more than about 10 minutes. Additionally, it leaves a deep red mark across my forehead when I take it off. The mark eventually fades, of course, but it takes a lot of pressure to make a mark that deep and long-lasting. I actually think that the tightness of the elastic band might be a contributing factor to the exposed hair at the nape of my neck. The size of the cap is actually quite nice — it’s deep and there’s a lot of space to fit a lot of hair in there. I think, however, that the elastic band is so taught and constrictive that it is actually riding up in the back.I have a very normal-sized head and I am no stranger to shower caps so the issue isn’t on my end. I have used countless caps over the past 2 decades and extreme tightness isn’t something I encounter very often. This product is the problem. I think with a few tweaks this could be an excellent shower cap but right now it is pretty disappointing, especially for the price.

I just received today, and special insert tells me 'not to stand under shower head'. Whaaaaat? It is a frigging shower cap! I am afraid to now use it,because if it absorbs water, it is used, and maybe I cannot return it?? Nice material..looks good...but I have a couple of Diva shower caps...which I love! They are so cute, but thought I would try another brand. Always looking for cute gifts for my Girls! If you can't let the water shower down on you 'while in the shower '...uhhhh...why do I want this??

The pattern is nice and it's comfortable but it's rather useless at keeping my hair dry. It's lined with microfiber which extends to the outside edge of the cap, forming the band. But the exposed microfiber wicks the water inside.For a while, I thought I just wasn't tucking the hair at the nape of my neck in well enough, because it always is totally wet, but I finally realized the wicking problem. (Only took me a year! Duh!)I literally wring it out when I'm finished using it. It's as wet as a washcloth.Instructions say not to stand under the showerhead with it on. That's a pretty stupid design flaw for a shower cap! Not sure what the point of it is.So, I'm back on Amazon looking for a better designed product. This one came up in my search and I thought perhaps I could save someone else the trouble.

I purchased this shower cap, after corresponding directly via email with Dilly’s in Australia. I had a few questions regarding the product prior to placing my order. Dilly’s customer service is wonderful; efficient, friendly, and professional. After years of buying many different brands of shower caps, I highly recommend Dilly’s. Although the price point is higher, the quality is definitely worth it. The cap is very well made with a soft absorbent lining, with many design fabric choices. Also, the fact that it can be washed will extend it’s life. The cap fits snugly and although it seemed tight at first, it was because I was used to wearing looser caps that didn’t keep the humidity and moisture out. This cap is now very comfortable to wear and protects my hair from the steam and humidity of a hot shower. After use, I just hang it on a hook and it is dry for the next day’s use. For days that you don’t wash your hair, Dilly’s shower caps are a big time saver for hair styling!

I ordered this shower cap after years of frustration with my old shower caps, which always leave me with half-wet, frizzy hair. This seems to have solved the problem! This morning after using it, my hair came out of the shower completely dry for the first time ever. The large size fits my huge head and curly hair perfectly. And it’s gorgeous to look at, too—the Retro pattern is much more glam in person than i expected from the pictures. Really glad I discovered it. (And Dilly’s is lovely to deal with, answering questions ASAP and going the extra mile.)

Honestly I'm surprised to read so many different reviews for this product. I absolutely love mine! I use it both when I'm washing my hair and when I'm not. When I wash my hair I can put my hair to dry in the micro fiber towel cap to dry and not frizz or get my clothes wet as I'm getting ready. If I'm not washing my hair I wear it in the shower and it absolutely protects against frizzing from water. I guess some reviews write about how you can't dunk your entire head in the shower with this cap but I personally never did that with any shower cap for fear of getting my hair wet so... I don't really see the issue... And mine dries within the next time I need to use it as long as I flip it inside out and hang it. Honestly really love this product and ordered another for my mother who also loves it! Thank you Dilly's collection!!

I was looking for a shower cap which covered my hair and did not get wet. With most of the shower cap that I have used the hair absorbs moisture when I take bath and get wet. With this shower cap no. Squeeze around your face enough to keep moisture out. My hair is kept straight for longer. It’s made with a high quality material and you can wash it. The hair stays dry during the bath. I loved!

It looks huge by it fits me great. Caps are usually a bit small on me. This has a slight sheen. Lined inside. Worth every penny. Works a treat.

It's too big and falling down on my face. This fact makes elastic around the cap useless.In order to use it, I apply headband in order to keep my hair up and then put this cap on. Usually, it covers my forehead so I can't wash my face thoroughly while in the shower. Some people would criticize me for washing face in the shower, but I don't give a damn, I am a person of habit. :)But overall, it is much better than all the caps I've been using in the past.It keeps its shape, very sturdy, soft and reliable. And I love the pattern too. I feel like a queen lolHowever, I wish I had a bigger head (if one could wish for something like that), or they had different sizes. I think the sizing is something they should work on since I can't change my head. Right? ;)

Nice cap, a bit on the bulky side, it would accommodate a decent head of hair.I find the elastic strong and tight.Update: I have come to adore this cap! It felt odd at first as I was used to my decrepit old plastic one but this one works so well! it's high quality and I expect it to last as long as I want to keep the pattern, had my last plastic one for almost 10 years and it has nothing on this awesome cap in the quality department.Don't stand in direct shower and your cap will dry just fine. Unless you live in a very humid place where it won't fully dry, that might be a problem for mildew.

I bought the shower cap to help dry my hair after a shower. I've been bleaching my hair for a while and to help avoid breakage, I was told to not dry it with a towel. I find the print beautiful. I have used the cap in the shower and it doesn't get my hair wet at all. It does soak up a lot of the water from the hair. And it's a great way to keep hair out of face when washing it, putting on makeup, etc.I should note that a lot of the reviews say it is tight around their head which worried me - I must have a small head because it is not tight at all.
