Z Nothing Hot Sauce, Beyond Extremely, 5 Ounce

I have tried Dave's Ghost Pepper hot sauce back to back with Z's, and Z's is considerably hotter. I don't know if someone got a bad batch, but it's painful to use more than a drop per square inch of food the first couple times you try it, nice to mix with something you want hot without a vinegary taste. Makes anything spicy without changing the flavor, but has a good flavor if you really go overboard with it. -Update 08-21-13- I have just bought my first crappy bottle. The rest were great. I called the manufacturer to see if there were a chance of counterfeit, but they verified via the batch number that it's a genuine bottle. The batch number will be on a white stick on label on the bottom of the bottle. Here are some details I've gleaned from the experience. Good batch XXXXXX (Threw away bottle when empty - never checked) Don't know day of the year Bought March 15, 2011 No bottle details Sauce was hot, more than a drop would be too much for a square inch of food. Tasted sweet and could not really taste the vinegar. Bought from Sauce Store Amzn (Marked as "Sold by: Hot Sauce World, Inc") Title: "Z Nothing Beyond Hot Sauce 5 oz." Good batch XXX093 (Label was torn - missing beginning) Made 093rd day of the year (Per manufacturer) Bought October 30, 2012 Bottle has ridges and initials "18 .PG." on bottom. Had plastic/aluminum cover with rip tie opening at top. Sauce was hot, Tasted sweet and minimum vinegar taste. Notice dark red flecks in sauce compared to weak bottle. Bought from ACSS - Hot Sauce World, Inc Amzn (Marked as made by "CaJohns") Title: "Z Nothing Beyond Hot Sauce" Bad batch 331182 Made 182nd day of the year (Per manufacturer) Bottle has ridges and solid heart shape on bottom. Had plastic/aluminum cover with rip tie opening at top. Sauce was vinegary and slightly hot, did not taste too bad but can't really taste the flavor over the vinegar. Can apply liberally to food without problem. Color of sauce is consistent throughout with no flecks and a slightly lighter color of orange/red than good bottle. Bought from Jerky-N-Spice Amzn (Marked as made by "Z Nothing Beyond Hot Sauce") Title: "Z Nothing Beyond Hot Sauce" Closing notes: The manufacturer claims they make these in small batches and use the same formula each time. For some reason their batches lack consistency. I'm not sure if the bottles I bought before were "shelf aged" for a while before I got them, or if there was a difference in the peppers they used for that batch, if they accidentally added too much vinegar for a couple of batches, if they've changed the formula and I was getting the old formula bottles, or even if they were peppers from the same time of year. All I know is I liked the old style and it was good. The labels were identical in appearance and if they make a change to their formula they need to note it. I have contacted them and they want to send me another bottle just to see if that was a bad batch. We will see if I have to find another hot sauce to buy. As for this bottle, I may mix a little Mad Dog 357 sauce with this to bring it back up the the temperature I need it to be.

I just want to give a big shout out to CaJohn and CaJohns Fiery Foods for their customer service. I LOVE this "Z Nothing Beyond Hot Sauce." It was the first sauce I ever tasted as a teenager that was actually full of flavor and heat instead, and I've been buying it for years since. To those who say it isn't hot, I've had bottles that were so hot, one drop made grown men cry. I'm a chilehead, I've eaten plenty of superhots, including jolokiahs and scorpion chiles, and it is VERY hot. Obviously, this is made with habaneros and isn't as hot as some products. But it is quite hot, AND actually tastes good. But somehow I got one bottle that didn't seem as hot as normal, so I wrote an email and just asked if their was a possibility that something was wrong with the batch. They responded very warmly and asked the batch number. A few days later, I received TWO new bottles at my doorstep with no shipping charges and a personalized note saying, "We hope this is hot enough for you." This made me an even bigger fan! If you've never tried this sauce, you definitely should! And if you've never tried CaJohn's, what are you waiting for?

A tasty hot sauce, enjoyable flavor, decent warmth, but no where near the 4 million SHU it states . Not a lot hotter than the XXXXXTra Hot El Yacateco. I eat 6 or 7 drops on each bite of my burritos.

I bought this expecting to be able to provide excrutiating pain to my colleagues at the office, and it turned out to get mostly 'not that bad' responses. We've bought about 10 different hot sauces over time and this one was the most underwhelming on heat despite the high SHU ranking. I read some other places online that it has huge variations in heat - and i would agree with that. Some people say super hot - and some get a dud of a bottle (like me). Flavor is actually pretty good but the heat is only OK.

Being cajun born and a bottle of hot sauce as my bottle. Lol.. I could never find hot sauce that was truly hot enough to satisfy my palette. My co-workers were always bringing in sauces for me to try and still nothing was hot enough until one of my coworkers came across this sauce. I ordered a bottle and much to my amazement, FINALLY A HOT SAUCE THAT IS TRULY HOT! I LOVE THIS SAUCE! It is my forever sauce! NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS SAUCE! However, be warned it only takes a dab. BEST SAUCE EVER!!!!!

Yes its hot, but if you enjoy spicy with flavor at the end it's a must. I put this in every soup, but a few drops at a time.

It may not be the hottest in the world, but it IS HOT! Good flavor too.

Probably the hottest sauce I’ve had. Barely useable. I have to plan my next drop date so I can clear my calendar. Takes you to that other dimension.

Superb chilli sauce! Probably the best I've ever tasted! It's hyper-hot but the different mix of ingredients make it very tasty and full of flavours. To be used with care and moderation..

Ended up with next day delivery somehow with no extra cost, tried a dab on the finger at first, it has a nice taste to it can definitely tell there is some fruit in there. After that tried a spoonful no taste just pure heat
