Straightforward to set up an use. In use for 18 months, so far no problems. Just once one handset lost contact with base, fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting battery. Sound is fine. Easy to use buttons. Large number of directory entries (1000). Good price comparatively.Some minor areas of improvement:1. Info given by machine re: messages (e.g. "you have x number of messages") too loud (male voice), cannot be turned down or off2. Handsets do not sit securely in their cradle, can be easily knocked over3. To indicate new messages there's just one solid small red light on base, nothing on handsets

I really like the ability to block Robo calls and how the system announces who’s calling so you don’t have to run over to the phone to check the caller ID. I had an old version of this AT&T system since 2013. The old system still works but the batteries don’t hold a charge like they use to and I wanted the additional features of the new system. The speakers on these hand sets have a little raspiness to them compared to the old handsets. However, I like the larger illuminated buttons and larger LED screen. Real happy with the ability to block robo calls. The new system is a little more complicated to set up and program but very much worth the effort. You can actually use the default set up right out of the box if you so choose.

I bought this phone set for a friend who has dementia. The big flaw is that the middle button blocks the person who is calling!!! I had to put a bright sticker over that button that said “no!” The delete button should be a small button, put elsewhere, not front and center. Other than that the phone works well and is reasonably priced.

Bought these phones for the call blocker, and it is awesome. Hasn't been this quiet in a long time. All you see is the phone light up and display call blocked. Went in and checked and close to 50 blocked calls first few days. No more spammers, warranty people, Medicare people. Got the set of 4 and coverage is good even out to my shop. FYI, download your cell caller directory, saves the hassle of having to unblock good numbers. Love the phones, recommend to anyone who is pestered by scammers.

I have been able to TOTALLY eliminate all the many robo and junk landline phone calls we were receiving daily. I followed the instructions provided with these telephones, and added all of our family and friends number to the "allowed" calls list. I added "caller ID" to our landline through our local phone company, and that was all that was needed to end a very annoying problem. We were considering getting rid of our landline, until we installed this system.

One of the handsets in the first set ordered was not functional; the problem was with the handset, not the battery, since I've tried the different batteries. I ended up having to order a whole new set, since the manual's instructions for pairing just one handset (i.e. leaving handset on the base dock) did not work.

Previous long standing great easy Panasonic unit got wet shorted out, so sadly sought replacement. Extremely disappointed at how complicated set up & operation. Wish to return. Will purchase Panasonic Corded and Cordless Phone - KX-TGF853x Series directly from Panasonic, since not available on Amazon. Seems closest to easy operable previous Panasonic unit. Don't usually write reviews, but the amount of time, frustration invested in this, is obscene. Set up, complicated, calls to tech anssistants many times, who were helpful, but very time consuming for me. Sign of the times, they get paid for their time, we do NOT get paid for our time & fruustrations! Over thinking, over complicating, over techy, over robotic, everything these daze. No wisdom in common sense, keep it simple, easy.
