So I’m sure we have all heard it before…. I’m hungry. Great. What do you want? I don’t know . GD it! When I saw the title of the book I didn’t even read the rest I just bought it. I thought it was going to be sardonic and comical. I was surprised it was an actual cook book and it definitely was not starter level. I still love it though.

Got it as a gag gift and served that purpose

We ended up buying three copies of this cookbook. My twenty something kids loved it!Foul language of course - but quite entertaining. the recipes are actually something you can make at home and would like to eat

Got this for my brother as a gift and he could not stop laughing. He loves it!

We have a lot of cook books but this one is just funny n makes it fun to look for new recipes.

Okay, so the reason I am giving this three stars is partially my fault, but I wanted to make it pretty clear to other people viewing this what they were getting. I was looking for a gift for my wife for mother's day. She loves cooking, but always struggles with what to make for dinner for our family of four and loves cookbooks. I saw the title, got a little chuckle because we have all thought this before, and dove into the reviews.They talked about the "choose your own adventure" nature of this cookbook. Don't want your dinner spicy? Turn to page 20? Out of beef? Turn to page 16. Perfect! I ordered it.When it showed up, I realized the swear on the cover isn't the only one in the book. By far. It's laced with profanity throughout. Okay, I'm no teetotaler or anything - I drop the occasional curse word and maybe even an f-bomb now and then. But it's not the kind of language I want my kids reading (and they love to read everything lying around). In fact, my 5 year old son dragged this out and pointed out the swear on the cover before I gave it to my wife. Great.Anyway, I gave it to her, told her the story I told you above, and she agreed it probably wasn't a great fit for us. If you don't mind the curses filled throughout then this would be a great book for you. If you have young kids starting to learn to read around the house and you don't want them putting sailors to shame with their knowledge of profanity usage you might want to go with a different book.

Purchased for the wife, funny but still no dinner when returning from work!!!!

The title obscures the F-word, but the text of the book doesn't. It's in every recipe along with other swear words. This might be the author's trademark or maybe an attempt at humor, but for people who are used to traditional cookbooks, it is unappetizing and in no way improves the experience of trying out the recipes. I made a terrible mistake by gifting this book to my brother-in-law and when my 86-year-old mother-in-law flipped through the pages and saw the language, she promptly sent it back to me. I would return it to Amazon, but by the time I received it, it was too late to send back for a refund. Another major shortcoming of this cookbook is there is not a single photo of the finished dishes. I guess we are just supposed to image them as f-ing good.

This was meant to be a present for a Non-cooking man, apart from the over use of the f word, no real idea why it was used so much, the recipes were not suitable for someone without the basic knowledge of cooking, as the book was described. Didn't give as present, now got unwanted book., book itself was in great condition, the photos etc were nice and the delivery was great, pity about the book.

Bought this as a gag but also for inspiration for cooking.Although they sound nice, most of the recipes in it are not suited for cooking for a family due to the expensive ingredients, i.e. swordfish, scallops.Not suitable for me and my budget, but it's a great stocking filler for Christmas or small, fun gift for a chef or food enthusiast.The intros to the dishes are are funny and, being from the catering trade myself, remind me of the typical banter between chefs in professional kitchens.
