I bought these mini serving cups recently having been looking for a Sake set. as a keen amateur chef and fan of all things Japanese, I wanted a new Sake set and wasn't keen on the typical faux Japanese styling with painted cherry blossoms/koi etc. the Magisso style appealed to me as it was a clean and simple look, very modern and understated, yet with a quality and finish that looks expensive.That impression is upheld by the delivered product. These two cups are quite small and really only serve as I intend, for Sake, or perhaps for serving dips/sauce. A little bigger than a shot glass, they are simp,e cups with a shiny glazed interior and base and a Matt exterior - quite a rough tactile finish.I like the cooling effect, as when soaked in cold water the ceramic retains the temperature for a while and this approach to serving sake is quite important.On another note, they are quite good looking and sit well in my glasses unit on display.Overall a really nice addition to my kitchen and even if I don't choose to utilise these as serving dishes for dips, butter, etc, I am really happy as a Sake set which is only used on special occasions!!
