Fun way to have pre-readers learn to read signs!
My granddaughter loves cats and constantly pretends she is going to the airport so this was a hit with her.

Another great picture book from Rosemary Wells.
I absolutely loved this book. The Yoko series has been a hit since it was launched by Rosemary Wells but this latest title focuses on a subject I have never seen addressed before. Yoko and her Mom are in the airport awaiting a flight to visit family members in Japan. The airport is huge and there's lots to see and many new experiences for little Yoko. Unfortunately, Yoko goes to the bathroom but then gets lost. How will she find her mother in this vast building? Fortunately, she understands the signs and is soon reunited with her parent. Since traveling by plane today can be very intimidating for a youngster, especially while in the airport itself, it is important that the child learns how to read the signs and know what to do if he or she becomes separated from the rest of the family. Wells does a beautiful job showing Yoko in this situation.Enjoy this book before you head for the airport and then take it along so your child can reread it with you while on vacation. You'll love the characters and perhaps it will provide you and your little one with a little peace of mind too. Happy traveling !Book provided by publisher.
