Bad deal
My youngest got me this as a christmas present. Very poor quality, and no user's manual. Poorly packed, and looks used. When you turn it on, it flashes a few times then turns itself off. I assume it's either in a specific mode, or trying to report an error. Looked around the Internet and tried to troubleshoot the problems. There is only one on/off button at the bottom. Tried holding it in, turning it off and on several times (thinking it might cycle through it's modes), tried changing the amount of time the button was held in before release. Cleaned to contacts, made sure everything was tight. Added an o-ring that had dropped to the bottom of the box.The model isn't even written on the flashlight, though it has the name "Garberiel" on the side. The ad says "Waller". Not sure what connection is there, if any, but it didn't help when trying to find online instructions. I can't believe she got suckered into paying this much for something this cheap.UPDATE: After I hit submit, I thought I'd try one more thing. I took out a section of the flashlight. And tried different combinations of the batteries (which I had charged). After playing with the on/off switch (quickly doing on/off) it settled down into a steady mode with a bright light. So I'm guessing on of the batteries is low. If I'd had a manual I'm guessing the troubleshooting guide may have told me the flashing/turning itself off was an indication.
