Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Standard Battery EB-BN920ABA (Bulk Packaging)

I purchased this Samsung Note 5 battery as a replacement to the aging one in my phone.Now I want to specify, the listing here on Amazon does NOT state whether the item for sale is a NEW or USED item (may vary from seller to seller). My item, was absolutely a used item. I have replaced enough cell batteries to be able to spot signs of use.This battery had scratches, indents, and the ribbon wire is rigid to this original orientation in the phone, and I question its connection to the inside element itself. Shame on me for assuming a new item. But equal blame on the Sellers, and Amazon, for not having a designation for use. Thinking about it, i'd assume not many actual Samsung branded OEM new batteries exist for the Note 5.I am extremely particular about items that have any chance of being a bomb or fire hazard, in any of my (or friends and family's) electrical devices. I do not want to take the chance of installing a used item, (especially one which is as old as the one i'm replacing) having an issue. The risk is there for any Lithium Ion/polymer battery, new or used, but i'll trust an untouched new item, over one removed by someone unknown.Basically, just use caution and discretion when purchasing this item. I'm sure the item I received would have been acceptable to some, but wasn't close to what I would call standard. If I got a new item, easily could have given 5 stars. But judging from another review as well, not sure I want to try again with this Amazon listing.

I asked to return this 'new' battery because it is 5 years old. (date is stamped right on it, see pic.) Even if unused, a Lithium-ion batter is only good for 2-3 years. However, for a refund, I have to ship it back on my own dime AND seller deducts a 20% restocking fee. I would end up spending more to return it than I spent on it, so I'll just eat it and leave this warning for others. Stay away.

After installation it initially appeared to be unchargable displaying only an empty battery graphic, but red indicator light on Note 5 came on after about 10 mins of being plugged into charger. 100% charged over-night. Charge lasted about 5 hours (2 hrs google, Words with Friends, + about 3 hrs with all programs closed). Better than my 3 year old battery which would hold about 2-3 hrs charge, but was hoping for a battery that would last at least 10 hrs.

I could not get anyone anywhere to install it on my phone, so it was a waste of money. But I honestly feel phone companies do this on purpose, so you are forced to buy another ne phone.

The estimated shipping date got pushed back a few times. I don't know why. I grew impatient. But it finally arrived. I popped it in my note 5 and I am good to go now. Everything is working fine. I am satisfied!

My old battery that I had in there worked better then these (supposedly) new battery.Won't hold charge, charged up won't hold for long, wasted money! don't buy it!!!!!

Used, dead, battery. Dated 2015. My old one is newer. Returned.

New battery would not charge, DOA it appears I'm not the only one with this issue from this supplier.
