Nice for kids who like to build...and knock things down!
On the whole, these are nice. The wood seems sturdy and there are lots of pieces, so kids can arrange and rearrange obstacle courses for the marbles. I did notice some paint chips right out of the box. It won't be a big deal to kids, but just something to note. The size of the pieces are good for small hands. I liked this set because it can be as complex or simple as kids are developmentally ready for. We've gotten things for my son in the past that he can't really put together. He watches us do it for him. With this set, he can make simple obstacle courses or more complex ones, and he can do it all himself. It enables him to play independently, with his friends and with us.

Awesome creative fun for one or many
This is a huge and heavy set of wooden pieces, blocks and tons of multi-colored squares that get knocked down. It looks magnificent when it's set up, but it's a serious time abuser to do! You have to work it just right so all parts work together to keep the action moving. This requires bits of architecture, engineering, patience and extreme playfulness. It really is a blast whether you're doing it with kids, adults, alone or with others. There are so many wacky possibilities and you'll need space to set everything up. There's a plastic/nylon (feeling) cloth included for your messy pleasure. There really are an amazing number of parts and they're all wood, which makes it very different, very heavy and very desirable. I love crazy marble runs and have several, and this is one of the very best overall. It's an excellent brain teaser & trainer. Just a bit of advice: keep it away from the dogs and cats!! (What a mess that was!) That turned it into a game of pickup sticks, bur there was no actual damage other than some small bits of color chipping. These are strong, smooth blocks that took a good beating and did great. Booklet is decent and has ideas but basically you're on ypur own trying to work within the laws of motion and gravity. I really highly recommend it for kids, families and adults. But not pets...

Solid but with slight imperfections
We chose this set because we wanted a sturdy wooden set for our son, who can break anything. And it is! It came with lots of pieces (though be warned, the seemingly high count includes a lot of small domino-style pieces that aren't terribly useful.)The main drawback is that a few of the pieces don't have holes quite large enough for the marbles so they get stuck. Most of them are fine, but running into one of these is always frustrating for our little guy.

So much fun!
I love this set! I gave this to my 8 year old for Christmas and it was a hit with both him and my 4 year old; they played with it much of the morning. I like that these are wooden blocks; we have another set of similarly sized wooden blocks that supplement this set really well. Plus, they are familiar and easy to build with. There are a lot of interesting pieces for the marbles to roll through that make designing your marble run really interesting and exciting. There is a booklet that comes with it that shows example setups to get you started. There are only pictures of the setup, no instructions, but I don’t think you really need them. That’s the best thing about this set- it’s open-ended and you need to use your creativity and critical thinking skills to figure it out.The quality is good, the wood is well sanded and the special pieces are made well. It seems pretty durable. It comes with a bag for storage which does fit all of the pieces.Definitely recommend this set!

Like blocks and dominoes in one
The best part of blocks is often building something to knock it down, so what I like about this set is that it's designed to do just that. The combo of blocks, dominoes, and marbles offers endless combinations to ultimately enjoy destroying your masterpiece by knocking it down. The pieces are solid, real wood. They are well made and there's no unpleasant scent, which sometimes painted blocks can have. The perfect age range is probably 4-8 years of age, but older kids who like to build things will be intrigued and can continue to be challenged. Much younger than 4 and I think dexterity will become an issue. Overall a very nice alternative to a high tech kid's toy.

A Winning Wooden Wonderful Set
The wooden set is engaging and nicely made. The kids (7 and 5) quickly started building simple structures independently, but they were soon collaborating on larger more complex designs. It was fun to watch. The set has a great variety of unique pieces and incorporating them takes planning and creativity – all skills that are worth honing. The kids are loving it! The set includes a bag, a real bonus, and the pieces are quickly stored away when playtime is over. Also included is a manual which provides a great source of ideas. A marble run and dominos make for a winning combination!

Juego
Juego de piezas de madera. Muchas formas y tamaño. Indestructible.

Fun
Good fun but I found the marbles needed to be heavier to make it round the track and some of the square blocks with holes don't always let the marble through.

Not as much as you think
120 of the pieces are small squares that aren't very useful and the marbles count. So you are getting less than 80 pieces of any use and lots of those are small and not useful.
