It works for close up but you have to use one eye.

Don’t buy
Batteries were corroded. I had to scrape and clean the corrosion AND put NEW batteries in for it to work.

stopped working after a few months
Not a bad product, provided you only need it for a few months. Light is no longer working, even with new batteries.
