ZINGYOU BM-8000 Professional Studio Condenser Microphone Set, XLR Condenser Mic Bundle for Recording (Black)

I was expecting quite honestly for this thing not to work, but was absolutely astounded when I pulled the mic out of its box and examined it. The fit and finish of the mic body was excellent....then I got to the accessories which all seemed fairly good until I got to the USB audio adapter.... it's flimsy construction did not inspire confidence. So with some trepidation, I plugged the mic's cable into both the mic and into the adapter. I got no sound on my recording software and headphones. A moment of panic passed until I realized that I had plugged the mic cable into the headphone jack by accident. I then switched it to the proper mic jack and WALLAH!!! SOUND!!! Surprisingly the sound was actually right off the bat, better than my Blue Snowball mic which was also plugged in so that I could compare them side by side. But here's the kicker: Once I unplugged the little USB audio device it comes with and instead used a Behringer Xenyx USB mixer with a proper XLR to XLR cable, the sound was EVEN BETTER! So basically, when used with a proper mic preamp feeding it 48v phantom power, this mic holds its own with my other medium and large diaphragm condenser studio mics that cost many times more. As such I'm definitely buying another one. These things are just too inexpensive not to have a bunch of them around the studio. Plus they look beautiful! What's not to like?

The ZINGYOU microphone is a great budget starter mic. It feels solid and the included accessories are also quality. There are no included instructions that come with the microphone, but putting it together is pretty easy. The shock mount works well. I moved shock mount around with the mic in it and it did not pick up the sound. The XLR to 3.5 mm jack works well for plugging the mic directly into a camera or phone. The included USB to headphone and mic is great for laptops so you can record and hear yourself if you have the proper recording program.The sound quality is way better than my camera alone. The sound is clear, but there is some background noise. I am not sure if that can be filtered out through a recording program but when I was listening to playback on my camera I could hear a buzzing noise in the background. It did not drown out my voice, but it is there. I wish there were some in mic settings that you can use to balance out the mic recording, but for a budget mic that is asking for a lot.

Great mic for the price even tho i dont have much experience with audio recording equipment other than presonous... using it on my mac i also had to purchase a additional soundcard because the included one doesnt apply enough sound from the mic to cpu.. but overall this is great for beginner ppl who wanna record there own ,music, gaming etc.... its nice and heavy looks like a 300 dollar mic if you ask me .. you do have to do some adjusting to your cpu to get everything thing right but a phantom power supply or a better soundcard ... if you need help with setup or want to hear a song recorded with mic email me @[email protected]

It never stops beeping and buzzing loudly when recording, I tried several different ways to fix it and nothing worked. Maybe it's only mine that's defective but it was very disappointing

Amazing product! Do not be fooled, the USB power chip doesn't work, they have never worked, nor will they ever work. This microphone needs a power supply. You can purchase a power supply for an extra 30 dollars however on amazon, Behringer - Uphoria is a great brand for podcasters, and non professional musicians, it will provide all the power and clarity you'll need. With a power supply attached this microphone is actually comparable to high end microphones. I actually purchased it just for voiceovers and tutorials on my youtube channel, I'm a musician and have a 30,000 dollar studio, so I know good products, when I purchased this, I knew it was going to be trash. I bought it just for the microphone stand, and shock mount, that's worth 30 dollars, and if the microphone was trash oh well. It's not.... At all... It's actually super good, you can go on youtube and search " $3600 neuman vs bm800 " and there's a video of them being compared, and clearly the 3600 dollar Neumann wins, but not by as much and you'd think. For 30 dollars.... this is the best microphone you could get. I was shocked by the clarity. When I started recording you couldn't get a microphone to sound this clear for under 150. At all. To purchase one for 30 dollars and get this quality was mind blowing. There's no reason for anyone to not get their music, gaming, or tutorial careers going anymore, because price is not an issue.

works great apart from the fact that it will shock you. not in the good way either. even with a phantom power box

I was surprised at how well built this microphone is. We will see how long it lasts, but it appears to be very well designed, and sounds better than expected at this price point. The other accessories are a nice bonus as well. The shock mount and pop filter are both very cool and useful, however I'd suggest running it through an interface with phantom power instead of using the USB adapter that comes with it.

The only point in getting this set is for tye stand and shock mount. The pop filter is small and doesnt sit right on the mic. The mic is low quality and scratchy. Yes i know you get what you pay for but this is my honest opinion. I also had to get a sepreate auido interface because the one that comes with this package is really low quality. I make music and if you get this package, i recommend getting a sepreate auido interface, xlr cord, mic, and pop filter.
