The multishave device has a really good cutting blades which are fast and comfortable to use. It's good to be able to disassemble the components for cleaning, but the instructions are a nightmare - presumably written by someone who hates their job and is fascinated by not getting sued for mutilation. Despite resembling a vibrator (which could be embarrassing at customs), I'd definitely recommend the device as it works really well. The tiny head attachment is also great, a bit fiddly to undo for cleaning, but I'm pleased I got it as the blades are good and the sizing is right.

Fantastic attachment for the multishape trimmer. Shaves well without pulling. Would recommend this.

I bought the Panasonic ER-CKN1 MULTISHAPE Modular Personal Care System on March 1, 2025, and it’s been great for trimming—until recently. A plastic comb attachment (part of the beard trimmer setup) broke off within months, and I found a piece in my sink (part to attach accessory to main unit). Contacted Panasonic, but they classified these parts that come with main unit as “accessories” and these parts are not covered under the 12-month warranty. The catch is you can’t buy many of these parts separately—they only come with a new shaver head! For a small plastic part, that feels excessive. The product itself is pretty good, but this experience has left me frustrated. Consider the cost of replacements these weak plastic parts regarded as “accessories” before buying. If you use the comb to shave to a specific length (which is the purpose of the shaver) then if a cheap plastic lug breaks on the essential part then you will pay half the cost of the shaver to replace or grow a different length beard with the other accessory, I suppose its like buying a cheap printer and these parts should be called consumables as they hit you in the pocket when they need replaced. Customer service was polite but unhelpful on this point. Hope this saves someone else the hassle!
