UPDATE: As stated below, when I received this unit, the power cord was missing so I called the company – on a Saturday, no less. I was told they’d send the cord on Monday and they were true to their word! Not only did they send the cord (which I received on Wednesday) but they threw in a free oximeter. Now THAT’S great customer service. I’ve been able to use my dehumidifier for two nights and I believe it will work just as well, if not better, than the desiccant I’ve been using for many years. Thank you EarCentric for a good product and wonderful customer service.I received my dehumidifier today. This was purchased as a replacement for the desiccant I’ve been using for years – I got tired of having to constantly rejuvenate it in the microwave or replacing it when the beads would no longer turn blue. I figured the dehumidifier would last longer and need to be replaced less often (nothing lasts forever in my experience).I am unable to try the dehumidifier because it was sent with two AC adapters and no actual cable to plug the unit in. On top of that, the phone number listed in the booklet that came with the unit doesn’t work. Oh, it rings through to the company’s automated menu but, no matter which option you choose, you get silence and then the menu choices are given again. I wound up having to get the number from their website. I eventually spoke to a person who really didn’t pay much attention to what I said until I got annoyed. She even had to guts to ask me if I checked inside the box. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back since the box is only so big and everything is labeled that’s inside. Whatever. The bottom line is that they’re supposed to be mailing me a cable on Monday. I won’t be holding my breath and will update this review once I’ve been able to actually use the dehumidifier. Watch this space…

I have hearing loss in both ears, with more problems with my left ear. I was able to get my exam costs covered by my medical insurance. However, I haven't been able to afford prescribed hearing aids. I already tried a less-expensive pair but was unhappy with the fit and how fragile they were. I'm so tired of not being able to fully participate in conversations with my friends, store clerks, medical personnel, etc. so I tried EarCentric over-the-ear hearing aids because I was impressed with the customer reviews and product information regarding ease of care and company support. The videos provided with the owner's manual were very helpful in getting me started. I have used the aids for 5 days now, adjusting the fit and the audio level in each ear. I look forward to the time my ears have adapted to the devices (product estimation of 21 days). At this point I am very pleased with the instructions, the hearing aids, and the ability to hear!

I just received the drying kit. easy to use but I did not receive any instructions on us of or care of this product.

I like the looks if it. I have used it only once as I just received it today. It appears to work excellent. I am impressed with the secure packaging and care it came in, also. The price is very competitive. I'm glad I found this company.

Although the photo shows a small UV lamp it is not in/on the actual unit. It either has the quietest fan or no fan at all; none can be heard or felt. There is no temperature difference between the top and bottom of the unit. The pilot light--on the outside--does light when the unit is plugged in.

This product seems to work very well. I have had A lot of trouble with moisture in the tube of my hearing aid before I tried this. After using, this problem has gone away. Very happy with it.

I loved the first pair, and they were good for over a year and a half. This is the second time now and it's not quite as good. one is working perfectly, the other isn't working at all. I've substituted one from the first pair and it's ok, but it should not have been necessary.

I used it this morning and it seems to have worked as well as advertised. Plus it was reasonably priced and delivered quickly. I’m very satisfied with this item.
