🌦️ Shield Yourself in Style!
The Sammons Preston Wheelchair Umbrella is a versatile accessory designed to provide essential rain and sun protection for wheelchair users. With a generous 40" diameter, it ensures ample coverage, while the universal clamp allows for easy attachment to most wheelchairs. The adjustable stem offers customizable positioning, and its collapsible design makes it perfect for on-the-go convenience.

Hardware DOES NOT WORK
First of all, the hardware is SO very cheap, and the clamp simply doesn't work to stay up on the back of the wheelchair. Also there is NO way to adjust the positioning of it to properly shade the face from sun or rain. Its completely non-functional. I am also EXTREMELY disappointed to find that I can't return it, less than 2 months after my purchase which was a Christmas present. All other products seem to have 90 day returns when they are purchased around Christmas time for that exact reason, that it takes the receiver some time to open things and try them out... to find that they are WORTHLESS PIECES OF TRASH THAT DO NOT WORK.If the product seller cares enough to read my review PLEASE contact me with an offer to return immediately. This is unbelievably terrible customer service.

Awesome
I bought this for my client whom I care for. Now I can leave her on the porch knowing she is safe from the sun.

Didn't hold up to a stiff breeze
Clamps good to my lawn chair but didn't hold up too well to wind over 5 mph. Still works, but has a couple of bent ribs.

I was happy to find this product
I was happy to find this product. figured I just found an answer to some of our little weather problems. When I received it, I attached it to my sons headrest on his wheelchair it fit great seemed pretty secure, but once we put it to the test there were several problems right of the bat that left a lot to be desired. If you have a power chair this is not the product for you, it is not secure enough to hold its position against any kind of wind. The height of the umbrella poses several problems. If you have an accessible van like us or you take the bus you will have to remove the umbrella before you can enter the because of the height. Our first trip to the car in the rain left my son completely soaked as we had him on the ramp of van but had to get the umbrella off to get him inside. So we decided rain use was out of the question but there was still hope for sun exposure...well that was a bust too. Because it is ridged, there is no way to adjust the umbrella so that it's low enough to protect from the sun. Final problem my sons wheelchair broke and had to be sent back to manufacture for repairs ( which by the way 9 months later is still floating around Germany) any who... we were give a custom designed, wicked fast, tilt chair for temporary use and there is no way to attach this umbrella. We found a better option at Academy Sports chair umbrellas for a fraction of the cost, it lowers, it swivels, it can attach to anything and no matter how fast he goes, it remains in place and come in a variety of colors too. ijs
