The tray is plastic material and poor quality paint. Also, the tray I received was missing a lot of paint from the sides.

This is a lovely, classic piece. I am using it to hold three pillar candles as part of my holiday decor. It is lovely.

I like shine of the product. It's looks very elegant.

American Atelier Black Oval Serving Tray with Gold Trim and Handles is a very nice tray for Serving Coffee, Tea, Food, and more. I like to serve my guests (and family) coffee and tea off a tray. Both my grandmother and my mother liked to serve them that way and I followed right along. I saw this lovely tray and thought it never hurts to have another serving piece.This tray is medium sized, as it measures 15.3" long x 10.6" wide. Just enough space for 2 cups and saucers, a pot of coffee or tea, some cream and sugar, and a few cookies. This tray is made of a fairly thick plastic that has a sleek black finish and the top edge and interior of the handles are outlined in gold. It is quite elegant looking and adds to the festive feel. This tray is classic in appearance and it will add to almost any surroundings.I have been using this tray several times a week to treat my family with some coffee or tea and our little visits have been so nice. We don't spend a whole lot of time talking and sipping but we do enjoy the short breaks together. The tray seems to give us an excuse to stop working and to spend a little time with one another, then back to work. I think it is the formal appear of the tray that helps us break for a little while. Whatever excuse that works. The tray earns its keep on the weekends with a few guests. I have been having a lot of fun because of this tray and hope others will too.
