The images of the item shows 9 guide rings but in fact the rod only has 4! On re-reading the description, it does mention 4 guide rings, so why show a picture of a rod with 9 guide rings!

Seen mixed reviews but had this out for mackerel from rock wall on first night and no problems. Cast 1oz weight no probs. Tip quite soft but that makes catching more fun. Got 6 fish and several snags and it's still intact. I bought it for general light ledgering/float/ spinning so not expecting to haul in monsters and so far its handled the heavier end of that ok. With the soft tip I think it will cast well with the lighter gear as well and it gives a bit of sport catching smaller fish. From my experience - including the Amazon next day delivery - I can't fault the deal.

A great product - except. The knurled reel retaining nut attached to the flashy securing ring (also threaded) seized up on the thread. WD40 didn’t help. It was not cross threaded so a junior hacksaw through the knurling released it and the flashy retaining ring was left to secure the reel securers. It left a saw blade mark across the main male thread but the rod is now perfectly useable and doing a great job.

A decent product but don't expect it to be as strong as a two bit rod it's strange enough for most fish under 10 lb

Great rod for spinning off the rocks good long cast with 45g lure down side handle a we bit short but great for the price pluse people talking about snapping rod when snagged dont use the rod use your hands on the line with gloves

Good for price, but 1 guide rings disentergated after 1th year, very end of rod, not a big deal, rod slightly shorter.....Down point, my hooks got cought on rocks, 12 lb fishing line, rod snapped in half, well not mathematically correct, it broke just above the reel before I had a chance to cut the line.I thought rod would be stronger than line ?But as my review started, I still consider it good for price. 👍But I'll pay more next time.

Supper light and strong

I use the rod just for the canal and carry it in a rucksack on the bike, works well no issues decent balance seems strong enough happy happy and looks nice too
