Nike Str8 Jacket

We bought these for our son for high school football after his ankles were bothering him after games. Playing the entire 4 quarters, the taping and / or inside cleat braces would slip from sweat or from too much movement plus they would get too tight or become uncomfortable at times and there was never enough time to readjust. It was stressful on top of being painful and irritating. We tried a few alternatives, like regular spats. They were ok but more useful to keep out the pellets from artificial turf than anything really supportive.So we decided on trying the Nike Str8 Jackets because these seems more supportive plus beneficial for natural and artificial turf field play.The Str8 Jackets are confusing to put on at first. Try it at home before doing it before a game for the first time to get used to getting them on correctly. Also, make sure you get the correct size for your cleat.They have adjustable strong velcro around the sides and especially ankle area to secure the spat into place and they stay put for the entire game and then some.According to the players we know who wear them, our son included, they say they are very comfortable and their ankles feel well protected while wearing them.No more aching ankles, ankle injuries, taping or inside braces since our son has starting wearing these. They've held up great too.So five stars for the Str8 Jackets.
