It is a cotton!
it is not that soft or silky because it is cotton I wanted to get it so I don't complain about it.It is tight to input and I got 1 hole immediately after putting it in but I don't complain it because I purchased it even though some reviewers mentioned about it.It is really breathable.

Great, fast customer service
Had an issue and contacted the seller directly via email. I had a response by the next day to discuss options. They stand behind their product! I would not recommend this cover if you have a really puffy mattress, it is a tight fit.

Had to return: Odor, shrinkage, tight fabric.
I really wanted a mattress encasement that didn't have a waterproof layer. I sleep hot and I don't need a waterproof layer. This was an economical option that wasn't $150+. However, I had to return for the stated reasons above.1. For the smell, one other reviewer mentioned it may have been the packaging. So I trusted them, and ordered it anyways. The encasement comes in a typical vinyl zippered cover. I know what vinyl smells like and this wasn't vinyl. May fabrics are coated with formaldehyde (yes that formaldehyde), in order to protect the fabric from mildew. This wasn't even formaldehyde. I know what that smells like as well, this odor was much stronger than that. Honestly, had me worried about my health, so obviously I washed it. Suprisingly, the smell did not completely go away. Now I did cold wash it and hung it out to dry in the sun, in the hopes it wouldn't shrink and the UV would help the with to odor. It didn't, but I gave the old college try and still slept on it a couple of nights.2. Despite a cold wash & line dry, it still shrank. Ordered the 12" version and I struggled to get it on my 10" mattress.3. Tightness. This is the main reason I returned it. The fabric has absolutely no give, which may have been exacerbated by the shrinkage. If you have any sort of top conformal layer (e.g. latex or memory foam), this encasement will negate it. I work up with tremendous back pain. It would work perfectly if you had a tight top mattress though. Now, I'm not sure how forgiving the fabric would have been if it didn't shrink, or if I got a larger size. But, that doesn't matter because despite it being cotton it did not breathe well because of the tight knit. Like I said before, I wanted a breathable fabric but I slept really hot with this on.Unfortunately, it had to go back. It is not an inherently bad product, I just wanted to share my experience.

Its all good but too lose. Definitely more than 9 inch
I bought a 6 inch twin matress and a 3 inch topper to fit this cover, but it definitely not 9 inch deep and also the width and the height must be too big for twin. Too lose and exactly the opposite of tight.

Great but construction seems to lack
This was recommended by my allergist because of my dust mite allergies. I’ve noticed a HUGE difference and am sleeping much better. My biggest problem is that once I got it on the zipper popped right off. So I can’t take it off to wash it. I contacted the product support number provided so hopefully they send a replacement.

Good quality, but not suitable for all types of mattress
We would have loved to use this cover, but we couldn't get it onto our mattress. I'm still rating it 4 stars as the product itself is nice - good fabric, good construction, good zipper, and good price - but it just wasn't going to work for us.We have a king-size mattress in three layers - two layers of latex foam, and a thin wool topper. All together, they're about 7.5" in depth, but even though this cover is rated for up to 9" depth, it just wouldn't go on. The construction of the mattress means there is no way to stand it up like the instructions say, and trying to slide it on with the mattress laying down, the fit was very tight. After 15 minutes of trying, we couldn't get it on more than a foot or two without the cover getting twisted or bunched up and digging into the mattress, so unfortunately we had to give up and return it.If the zipper wrapped around three sides of the cover rather than just one end, we'd probably have been able to make it work. If we had a spring mattress, or even a standard foam mattress, it probably wouldn't have been a dealbreaker. But for any mattress that's grippy, floppy, heavy, or made up of multiple components that need to stay aligned, you may need to look elsewhere.

Ripped putting it on
Like many others have mentioned this ripped almost immediately while putting it on. The rip was relatively small because we stopped pulling as soon as we saw it ripping and had to be so careful putting it on the rest of the way. It’s definitely not built sturdy. Still kept it because I really needed a cover on my bed. Not using it for bedbugs just for a dust mite allergy so we weren’t too worried about the hole. still wish it hadn’t ripped!

Reasonably priced, breathable but weird sizing
Sizing was a bit off. Ordered the size recommended based on my mattress thickness. Based on other reviews thought there would be some extra room, but it was actually barely big enough to zip up. Not sure if I'm just imagining it but my mattress almost feels firmer now, as if there's not as much give to it? Fabric feels fairly breathable. It isn't soft, but that's not an issue since I have sheets on top. Overall, average quality for a fair price compared to the other only cotton options I looked at.

The solution for bed sweaters out there
This was my 3rd encasement I purchased after buying two other encasements that marketed themselves as breathable but they weren't because I woke up from overheating every single night I had it on. I realized I didn't really care for the waterproof/water resistant feature in most of the products out there, so I went for one that was made of pure cotton. Third times the charm, I can finally sleep through the night undisturbed and knowing my mattress is still protected from bed bugs (and dust mites). I personally taped the zipper so it doesn't unzip itself because there's no velcro built in for this feature. I also have a 13" mattress and got the 12" encasement, fits no problem.
