The Sawtooth X Low Waterproof has all the bells and whistles of the non-waterproof version, but with the added benefit of our B-DRY waterproof and breathable technology. While the new Sawtooth X has refined styling, it retains the Cordura vents that help promote breathability and make it recognizably a Sawtooth. But your feet will recognize it as a Sawtooth first and foremost.

Hoping they ultimately "break-in" and become as comfortable as my previous pairs.
I have been a huge fan of the Oboz Sawtooth, in both the waterproof (B-Dry) and non-waterproof styles. This is my 5th pair, but the first that has still not fully "broken-in" after a weeks worth of wear. I fear that if they don't ultimately form-fit I wont be able to return them because of the length of use. The others I've had did have a break-in period so I was/am hopeful. The biggest problem right now is with heel stiffness to the degree that my left shoe is digging in and painful. Again, hoping this works out because I have had 4 pairs of 5 star amazing shoes from Oboz.

True to size
True to size, heal locked in with a wide toe box. They are comfortable out of the box. Kept my feet dry in the rain. Would recommend, they were in sale and good value for the $.

Painful fit
I purchased these after owning Sawtooth II, which I loved but lost their waterproofing relatively quickly. I was hoping these would be the same great fit, but alas, the folds on either side of the tongue form very hard spots that dig into the top of my foot and are very uncomfortable.

Great "colder" hiking shoe for beginners/cruise go-ers.
Shopped 100s of shoes, bought and returned two other pairs on Amazon, and these finally fit like a 9.5 wide like my running shoes do. Wore these for our Alaskan cruise end of May/early June. I am roughly 275lbs, with flat feet, and I wore these around the towns and hiked a mild/medium trail (Rainbird hiking trail in Ketchikan, AK). My feet hurt at the end of the day a little, but nothing more than if I was on my feet all day in my running shoes. They did keep my feet dry from the elements, and yes they were pretty warm with normal one layer of socks. I would recommend these for staying warm and dry in cold/rain conditions, but hiking in warm/rain conditions you would sweat as much as you would if you had a pair that wasnt waterproof.

width makes hiking fun again
Love the wide width option. This shoe has been my favorite in the past 20+ years of hiking. I like this shoe so much, I wear them around town and in the mountains.
