Safer5162-12 Garden Dust Caterpillar Killer with with B.T. 8oz, Brown/A

I preferred the older “shake” type dispenser, with the nozzle I seem to get nothing, or then, covered my husband’s black car with white powder!I planted mint near a tomato plant, & soon found holes in the mint leaves. Searching amongst the mint leaves, a lot of little green caterpillar fell onto the soil. Yes, picking & smashing tomato hornworms gives you pretty effective control.But B.T.i. Makes the job safe, quick, with a long lasting solution! Apply to new growth, if needed, or over complete plant if product is washed off. Because B.T.i. Is a white powder, it’s easy to see where it is and is not protecting your vegetables. I’ve now got a LOT of tomatoes setting — and gorgeous mint leaves, perfect for mojitos!

This product has been very effective against horn worms, army worms and green loopers in my organic vegetable garden. I appreciate the fact that BT will not harm birds, bees or other beneficial insects. I'm fortunate to have Preying Mantis in my garden every year and I want to avoid anything that might harm them or the bees. I highly recommend this product.

It’s everything it’s advertised as, but I wish it worked faster. I sprinkled it on petunias with a tobacco bud worm problem. So all my flowers (well, half-eaten plant bases) were covered in white dust for weeks (not very attractive on the front stoop) and the buds were still getting chomped. I didn’t really see any significant results until about the third application (about 3 weeks) which is also to be expected with this remedy, but not sure if that’s just because the life cycle of the bug played out or they really did all get little tummy aches and go away. If this really is the only passive way to control those critters then this is the cheapest way to go but I found pulling them off and stepping on them worked more to my liking.

I wish I had a little more control over the powder coming out. Sometimes nothing comes out and then too much all at once. But I guess it works against the dreaded various cabbage loopers on my cabbage, broccoli and brussell sprouts.

Worked well. But container, with pop top distributor would not allow stuff to come out. I had to hit the bottle hard to get anything out and then it all came out in a glop, while instructions say to dust it. Dusting not possible with this system.

I really have just a little garden of herbs but they were being destroyed by caterpillars- never seen that happen before, honestly. But this has apparently worked after just one application. I just wish I’d noticed my problem sooner!

Product came loose in a box! The bottle was open and the contents were lost in the box! Not safe to return or to use!

I prefer to use my Bt as a dust,not a liquid spray and this is the best deal for the dust I could find. Goodbye, cabbage loopers.
